I was due
very donkish to put your red birds($5 chips) in stacks of 25?
they were growing so fast I just started stacking em up however high they went, in five stacks for convenience's sake.... started with two stacks twenty high; typically keep em in stacks of $100; for easier calculation, but when running over a table, I'll just keep adding to five basic stacks once i chip up to $500, sometimes more--7 or 8, kept triangle "pyramid" style, depending on my level of intoxication/boredom at the table....
here, the stacks were kept single file to somewhat intimidate, instead of the more condensed triangle....
also, i was pretty blown out (you can see the margarita to the left in the photo), the action was relatively loose and fast, so I just kept piling em on top and equalizing, kept a betting stack off to the side......

as a side note, I should say that when in casinos playing against strangers, i typically stack chips on how I want to be perceived at the table.... less organized if I want the loose perception and to counter my age (late forties players typically tight).... stack em neat and organized if I want to maintain a tighter image.....
here, i was somewhat middle of the road to loose with the uncounted big stacks, as I wanted the action from the old guys who were hard to get into hands, and didn't want to run off the 20-somethings that were regulars shooting at me, either......
and, wasn't "counting chips" to make neat 20 or 25 high stacks, was just raking and equalizing.... usually tighter players are counting stacks, and recounting after playing from a stack to ensure it's back to $100, for eg, to make sure they are staying at the desired stack size; I was just building towers and not counting at all....

We've talked about this before ^^.... it's amazing how you can manipulate casino donks with various "false tells".
Know exactly what you mean; I've gotten some huge calls doing some stuff (verbally & physically) that should never work with anyone with a clue... but have worked to perfection, nonetheless.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE playing with the college/younger guys... I can barely contain my excitement sitting down w/em. They make all kinds of wrong assumptions (save for the 1 or 2 sharp ones): Older guy would never bluff me here for that amount, etc...

Anyone that doesn't think there is money to be taken @ these stakes in casinos 1) is clueless, 2) sucks at poker, 3) obviously doesn't play and is talking out their ass.
NICE SCORE for a couple hours work! I've similarly have bought in for that amount and become a thousandaire many times in a session over the years. Current online play is light years ahead of current casino play.....
And oh, CS... please post the next time you're heading to the casino. Would probably still be worth it to make the ~ thousand mile drive (on second thought, you're a BDF, def not worth you're measly $50... nevermind)

perfect points you made, as well, and all very prominent in the game i was in...... had three young aggressive "buds" in their twenties that fell into the exact traps you mentioned, with that exact young stud aggression attitude.....
two aggressive "know it all" females, one late twenties, the other a soccer mom/poker expert (felted her twice)...... and two-three old school tight players all over age 70 at any given time --lot of "korean war vet types" were around, they came and went but always 2-3 at table until 1 am and they ran out of gas, and chips.... One guy a little older than me with a lot of game; only had a couple of hands with him, in large part by design
example of a hand, from my button having been dealt aa; utg raised (younger female) to 12, old man who played tight calls, soccer mom call, and ultra aggressive guy to my right makes it 25.... I raise from button to 50 and unexpectedly get 4 calls, flop ak2..... all check to me, i continue at 50, two folds, soccer mom and ultra aggressive stud call; turn blank, two checks to me; i throw the ol weak bet head fake and only continue at 50.... soccer mom bails, ultra aggressive guy does exactly what I thought (he had me covered 2-1 at the time in chips, having just moved to our table from a 2-5 game that broke) -- he shoves -- snap call and river is a blank.........
flushed him for another 200 with a2 dims twenty mins later..... his stack was down from around 800-900 to 150 or so when i bailed......

As for stacking chips... I want everyone at the table to know I'm a LAG maniac so I usually don't bother even stacking them. Plus its almost impossible to size up my stack, without me knowing, if it looks like this...
Sometimes, if everyone is stacking the "traditional" 20 chips, I'll make stacks of 25 to give the illusion I'm shallower than I really am. There's no rule on how to stack chips so to me these are just another edge to add to your EV.
On second glance, watch your ass playing in rooms using those old shufflemasters that don't count the cards! Theres about 1000 ways to exploit a game using those pieces of crap.
damn, i've never focused on this element.... hell, give me the top five most effective ways to do so!
