Cash 101 rule: play made hands fast, draws slow. Seems like you are playing the tournament.

I brought up the casino players being donks specifically to address your 'puzzlement' as to why they would question Sharpy's play and call it a horrible play: BECAUSE THEY'RE EEYORES!!! They are typical wild casino poker cowboys that would have a hard time distinguishing good play from bad if their life depended on it.

Which explains the "why" of your 'pondering'... which seemed to be your point.

Ok - perhaps your experiences with live play are very different than mine, but this hand just struck me as too strange. Could it have happened? Of course. I just find every part of the hand to be very unusual so that collectively it just doesn't add up to me. But whatever, whether it did or not is not really especially relevant, even if the hand is totally made up, he was asking what his best line of play would have been from his perspective (which could certainly could have gone down in the way he described). And that is a fine thing to debate, regardless of whether the overall hand occurred exactly the way he described it or not.

You gotta bet at least a 100 there with 165 inside then re-evalute on the turn...just terrible, you shouldn't be playing 2-5, no offence.
First of all 100? I'm potting it or checking. Let's say I bet 100, when MP calls and button pushes I....? Or MP pushes and Button calls. Then what? Fold with 25% of my stack in the middle? These guys aren't waiting around to bet big hands so I gave them a chance to bet and call off with their little ones. If they get lucky so be it, I've got a draw to the luckiest hand.

Dude, the point is, it's a heavy drawing board with 3 players in, you just CAN'T CHECK there. MUST BET.

You hit basically a jackpot, bet it hard and every 2 pairs, multiple draws, lowest trips will call, and u'll cash almost all of the time, obv one time they will suckout but c'mon, it's 2 easy...

I will provide photographic evidence, sworn witness statements and casino security tapes next time an almost jackpot happens at an LA casino. I have a good notary but they're in the valley so that might take a few hours. I did not realize the standards here at SBR but I will be prepared next time.

I have to question how many hands of Holdem you've really played if this is such an unbelievable occurrence to you. I've barely played this year and have already seen at my table or directly next to mine a quad over quad and boat v straight flush or quads 5 times. And this is real life not online or SBR. Holdem is a sick game. And don't get me started on the madness I've been a part of at a PLO table.

Again I don't really care if it's real, probably it is since I have no idea why you would make it up. But I've been playing poker online/live since 2004 (rather seriously before US pulled out) so I've seen it all pretty much. Do crazy things happen? Of course. But I don't believe they are nearly as common as you are trying to make out. Again though, it's really not relevant whether this is fudged.

But to be honest, part of the reason why this seemed iffy to me was that it frankly seems like the hand was really badly butchered by all parties involved (which goes to Biteme's point). I mean AA vs KK vs TT, and only 40 goes into the pot preflop? And then you all flop sets and it goes bet/call/call on a very draw heavy flop (not a single raise)?? Not at all what a person would expect to see in a "wild" holdem game that you described. Anyway, whatever, I and others have told you how we felt you played the hand, and that's what you wanted so rest of the details really aren't important.

Haha I never claimed I played the hand perfectly. If you don't get the reasoning more power to you but I'm comfortable. If I knew they had sets I like a weak lead to induce action but I didn't have my shift key points upgrade like at the good ol RS.

I will say you've got the action all wrong and your version would be a lot more unbelievable.

I thought you're asking for advice on how you played your hand, I gave u the answer: wrong and some reasonning, now just ask any pro cash player and compare mine with his, cheers.

I was asking if anyone folds top set after that action. Not that I mind the criticism but nobody is changing my mind either. Preflop was small looking back but it also left the pot more manageable so whatever. I'm telling you from experience a c/r or bet/call on the flop OOP is not winning poker in these games. I don't like gambling with 2 to come. The turn and river is where you realize equity the most IMO and this was a perfectly safe turn to get it in.

They said the only hands pushing are favorites and action behind made it real bad. I stacked their chips and laughed while they explained this but thought about it again this morning and was curious what you boys would say.

IMO it was a marginal push and just stupid call after mine, but didn't tell them that obv.
Seriously, BTN called your 3bet with KK with 3 other players around?? Personally, I am slowplaying KK once in a while only if I can assume, I'll be HU.
Wasn't a good play on his part. MP having TT...makes sense, since many players are often calling 3bets with either pockets OR connectors.

I have to assume he was trying to outsmart us with the old raise the junk and limp the monsters line, or he sensed danger and wanted to evaluate flop? Maybe he felt nervous and wanted to see an A free flop before really betting? Hard to say at this level, the average players poker thinking isn't exactly worldclass.
