I asked this very question in a post. No response from SBR. But DS did inform us it's unlikely to return. Members also gave a few suggestions on a new structure. But it's falling on deaf ears perhaps besides DS. It's a wait and see game.

NOW, the suggestions already made by other members concerning a buy-in and then SBR added to the prize pool makes total sense; that's the way it should happen going forward.

Old format was too expensive. Too many points were being cashed out in ring games by posters who have already signed up for everything they'll sign up for and they won't degen the points away in the casino.

The problem is SBR needs a poker manager. That's all it comes down to.

Saying exactly what needs to happen and how to avoid cheating in a new switch is a job. No one here minds giving advice but they don't need advice. They need someone that knows wtf to do and can listen to other poker players to get even more ideas. And its not just ideas and suggestions. They need to know how to interpret results with hand histories, hole cards, players at table, amount of hands between players, starting stacks, blind increases, etc etc.

There was some mention about incentives for playing alot of ring games. That has no chance of happening legitimately without someone to monitor everything. Cost isn't a problem. I bet they give away over $30k in poker per year and this wouldn't cost much at all. 1 person from SBRodds in data to format it all. 1-3 poker players to interpret it (who could no longer play at the tables). They wouldn't be trying to solve Kennedy assassination, just catch the local burglar at the gas station.

Problem is: it's that proverbial shout in the wilderness and it won't be 'heard' by anyone from SBR that can affect changes.

I'm next to certain if SBR had somebody that actually knew all the ins & outs of poker running the show, their poker would grow *tremendously* (tourney and ring both, as so many things that would grow poker round here could be so easily implemented).

But hey, their prerogative to run poker half-. And yes, for the UMPTEENTH time, constructive criticism doesn't mean SBR poker isn't appreciated (so please, let's stop with that bogus counter).

Here's a dirty lil secret SBR honchos don't seem to get: Vast majority of poker peeps here really, really like (love?) SBR.
All around: poker, forum, sports... SBR possesses much awesomeness.

What often pains the astute poker peeps round here (no real shortage of 'em) is they see all the *potential* SBR poker has, good suggestions are made, and next-to-nothing is listened to/followed through on. Which, in turn, stops more good suggestions. Why talk to a wall?

And lest SBR honchos think all the suggestions just favor the players: MEMO -- when good ideas are implemented smartly, the poker site will ALWAYS win.

It's funny... presumably, SBR isn't ponying up a 10k WSOP seat for shits & giggles; they presumably want to grow their brand (winner wears SBR gear, etc.) by being there; QUESTION: Why not try acting more like a top level poker site (a la a mini Pokerstars in *execution* if not size, obviously)... so... that when poker players that SBR actually manages to attract a look-see to its product, it impresses them enough to want to play here.

I stopped playing immediately after the change of format, not sure about others. They will lose me as a pro next year, although I got baited to stay for one more. Poker was a major reason why I stayed and I see zero reason to stay without good tournaments. The free contests are mediocre at best, and they already eff'ed the trivia prizes.

SBR I'll be around here and there either way but for the love of God please think about fixing it up. Daner, arguably the best player here needs the 7 pm back and honestly playing the 11 is a pain in my ass why? Because I start work early and I end late so staying up until 12:30 am to have a shot is PRETTY annoying. So, do you want a bunch of 19 year olds around or do you want guys like us? It'd be cool to have both, in my opinion.

I'll respect you either way but it's good for you if you do it -more clicks on banners and stuff. Thanks again for providing the opportunity in the first place as well as everything else you do.

I do not believe that this site is built for the best of the best to play but rather for everyone to play and enjoy. The more places paid the more people will play. I think, however, that it should top 10 spots paid. If you make it to the table you should get paid, regardless to how it is with "real" poker.

Also, I really hope they do bring back some old formats and somethign tells me they will. This new one makes no sense as they would be losing so many people. It makes no sense buisness wise. I havent played since the new format and the only reason im still on SBR is because I owe someone a lot of points and im not in the business of stiffing. It would literally be the only reason I come back with no intention of doing so again if something is not done about the poker.

Playing for 2 hours to win those amount of points it's ludicrous. I'm hoping this was just for the contest because of the high prize.

I'd say Jack up the buy in, make them be pro, something. Ring games are fun and completely dead right now. More spots need to be paid somehow. Alternatively, do a nightly higher roller and the bustos can play a few hours for 50 points

Also invest a little in a better rng. I'f I could run HUD you'd be appalled at the "randomness" lol. Sbr could surely data mine this but wouldn't dare
