I see that they aren't open today, however I think they have been open most days for the past couple of weeks. The SBR NL Omaha HiLo games are a lot fun, with a wide variety of tones to the games. Sometimes it's an all out burn to the ground affair, while at other times it's good solid play. I personally enjoy both versions.

This is a pretty strange move after they were up for a couple of weeks. Not sure why they were only up on weekends anyways; is it because it makes rolling over easier with chopped pots? Regardless, would be nice to see those back (and SNGs) to give more options, even if it hurts some of us by keeping people's rollovers off the hold em tables and out of our bankrolls

It should make no difference how poker points are rolled over as the rake is the same whether all pots are chopped or one player doubles up and one goes broke, SBR still gets the rake. Unless there are plants and superusers

Sure there may be some more all ins at hi/lo and max rake is reached but in the long run the difference is probably negligible

Unlike real money poker sites, where rollover is tied to bonuses in a way to make sure the site gets more in rake than they pay out, SBR rollover isn't set up to require the points to be raked. H/L games with a lot more chops will still result in the same rake/rollover, but gives people many more chances to rollover by simply paying the rake and chopping larger pots....compared to a hold em game, where better play is required to hold on the points long enough to roll them over.

In terms of points released, SBR doesn't care (if you assume the points are cashed out as soon as rollover is met, it happens with the same amount of rake either way), but maybe they care about making it easier or harder? I dunno...the most likely answer is that SBR doesn't really put that much thought into it, and that Omaha tables were pulled in keeping with how it was usually done. SNGs might be a different story, maybe that piece of the software is more challenging to implement or maintain...but I'd like to see them come back and allow buy in with rollover.

Yeah...while I certainly appreciate the efforts SBR takes to keep some poker activity, I think most of us would agree there's not a cohesive plan, or any kind of analysis like real money sites would employ. Many possibilities, but SBR probably just has it low on the priority list...and can ya blame em? Poker doesn't exactly pay the bills around here

Would be nice as I said above, but first you'd need to start a petition for SBR to take feedback a little more seriously...thought maybe they turned a corner by making World Cup much better format and the short but sweet contest afterwards, but the general lack of concern over the last contest (tourneys not up until last minute, almost no updates) seems to be a big step backwards. If SBR doesn't do updates for a contest it's running, seems unlikely they're gonna go above and beyond to improve the poker experience.
