Is flipping always going all-in or just raising and calling to a certain amount?

    can do it either way.

in this instance, he wanted to flip 20/hand. i buy in 20, stuff, he folds.

why ruin your reputation for 20 chips? it's not even a big amount.

seriously, how you pull that BS if it's only 20 points?

i don't care about the points. i just don't like people lying about flipping to try to scam people.

Raising & calling to a pre agreed upon amount.

Folding is inexcusable, unless truly done by accident. However, I flipped thousands of hands & never folded by accident once.

I've flipped with hh probably over 100 hands total (we even flipped earlier today actually) and he never did anything like this. And he flips with people often I believe so it makes no sense that he'd scam on a 20 pt flip. Maybe there was some sort of misunderstanding as far as how he wanted the flip to be done

Did he sit out, maybe disconnected or something? Just doesn't seem like something hh would have done...he's not scamming you, that's guaranteed. Did you try sending hi a PM before making a thread?

Not everyone has the hundreds of hours you have under your belt flipping this year; besides, not your place to question anything hh does, as he's a better player, both in reality and according to ridiculous BROI metric

sounds like a possible miscommunication..... very few people agree to flip "all in".... usually it's 20, 40 or 50 per hand if 1-2/2-4; maybe 100 in five ten...... he may not have meant lets' just throw all our chips in; as then ur only flippin one time!

That's for sure, measly point balances prove it.

I didn't start this thread Tripe. So unfortunately HH's folding action will be questioned, until he cares to respond to the allegation.

And all you have to show for your flipping is less winnings than most regular players...clearly flipping is the most efficient way to earn fewer points in the longest, most boring way possible

My ROI is 560% compared to your 30%. So If I chose to put in the same hundreds of hours at cash games with the same amount of poker deposits, I'll easily win 20x more than you.

Thanks for this, blanko.... I hope you and my many other flipping friends will continue to flip with me.

Yes, it was a misunderstanding/miscommunication. That's all I will say. Hockey is making too big a deal of this. I don't think it warrants a thread. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

To TripleD and bobby: how about not turning this thread into another venue for your ongoing feud. As a favor to me, let the thread die.

Can someone tell me the true definition of flipping 1 on 1? I have no clue in how it's done? What's typically the procedure?

Do you just do the table minimum and just check down all the way through?

Flipping is just a blind bet for a pre-arranged amount and then check it down. That said, it is really up to the players involved. You can make it as simple or complicated (to make it more interesting as you want).

The point is just to gamble and rely on luck, nothing more.

    Cheers and good luck.

The more problems the better so there is a good excuse to outlaw this as collusive play.

Much better to force all the scardy cats to play ring games so we have more action.

I sat at the table the other day when him and blankoblanko were flipping and asked if I could join a 3 way...HH refused, what a prude

Been gettin whacked for a week losing all kinds of chips -- flopped sets losing over and over to turn/river str8's and flushes and just yesterday, some drunk chimp with a penchant for titties 2-outted me on riv to beat my 9's full for a big pot.

Spewing chips left and right, which of course concretely proves mikejammer's assertion all along:

    RIGGED SHITHOLE!!!

Agree that flipping (and throw in chopping pots at .25-.50) is pretty much THIS, tho:

yes, that queens full boat two outer i spiked on the river to double up through you was some sweet shit! but, in sbr's defense, it was my birthday and they disengaged the doom switch for 24 hours and let me win 3000 pts playing poker in ring games!

fuk, if they really had their members' interests in mind, they'd create another tab, next to the ring games and tournies tabs on their poker client, labeled "DIRECT TRANSFER". Click on this tab to save the time of rolling over your points, for instead of getting into a game, it simply transfers your rollover straight to biteme's account, minus his, uh, i mean, uh, "sbr's" rake on the transfer amount.

This has two primary benefits: 1. it saves you the ten minutes of time it will take for biteme to suckout on you with 85 offsuit against ur kk (he turns straight) to felt u; and 2. it adds years to your life, by not having the excruciating stress of getting hit by yet another runner runner or two-outter-on-the-river suckout, which can take years off your life, for as we all know, it's not the fact that the 200 pts you just shipped to biteme are worth a whopping five bucks in pizza money, but rather the stress comes from the fact that he repeatedly rapes you with the worse hand, and always hits! Whether five dollars, or 5,000 dollars, those beats wear on you, much like Michael Sam's ass-less leather chaps wear on his inner thighs as he rails away on that little cuban guy he's dating!

note the date on that hand.... 8-31... bday was 9-1.... on my bday eve, I started to win like crazy.... it lasted through my bday, 9-1, approx a span of 30-36 hrs...... shipped 800 on a ton of bad beats today.....

as for your calling my kk raise and outflopping me with that trash, well, the poker gods said "sbr programming be damned", we're gonna dispense some justice and not have kk cracked yet again by two rags..... no doubt, justice was served on that hand. at least "poker justice"
