It is true, there are some + EV slot machines that exist if played correctly. Never done it myself, but Fishead is a guru when it comes to stuff like this.

And he is also the king of scratch offs.

Guy is like Chuck Norris when it comes to gambling.

He just punches the f\*\*\*ing machine, and it cashes out for him.

Yes, it's true. The individual described below, Charles Lund, did what I did..........but I actually did it on a higher level and played many different versions that he had no clue about.........he gets credit writing books on it. By the way, I was also banned from the Bellagio for playing a different type game at the time, but I played his "mouse maze" game on many occassions also.

The following is an article from RGT...........

Blackjack card counters have had to face the possibility that they could be barred from playing in some casinos for nearly 40 years.

Even video poker players have occasionally faced the wary eye of a casino boss worried that their skillful play would cut into casino profits. Although outright barring is rare, some video poker players have had slot club benefits suspended.
But slot players? The slots are the last place in the world you'd expect a player to be banned for skillful play. You just drop your money in, push the button. or pull the handle and trust to luck, right?

That has changed with the introduction of slots with banked bonuses. When the number of coins in Piggy Bankin's dotmation bank grow until someone breaks the bank, when the bonus in Wild Cherry Pie grows until someone fills the pie, when the number of daggers already collected of the five needed for a bonus in Buccanneer Gold are plainly visible, smart players can gain an advantage.

I've been writing about the potential edge for slot players in this column for several years, but Charles W. Lund has raised it to an art form. Don't think that hasn't been noticed. In the Spring edition of Arnold Snyder's Blackjack Forum, Lund tells of being barred from Bellagio while merely collecting information on how to best play a game called Money Maze.
Lund writes that he was told those who "play better and have an advantage" are not welcome at Bellagio. Not only that, but he writes that barred players were also told to stay away from any Mirage Resorts properties, which in Las Vegas include the Mirage, Treasure Island and the Golden Nugget.
As it happens, those who play only when the slots yield an edge to the player make no difference to the long-term house edge. The bonuses are going to hit eventually, and that's all figured into the payback percentage programmed into the game. Instead, skillful bonus slot players feed off other players. The knowledgeable players skim the cream off a machine's bonus payback, while the unwary build the bonuses that the skillful collect later.

Lund, wrote the booklet Advantageous Slots and Robbing the One-Armed Bandits.

The only bigger group of degens that I saw outside of the OTB, are slots players and VLT players.

These people are like meth addicts.

    Very sad to see.

I agree, there are ppl that can beat the slots, these fukin piles of shit sit there for hours on end waiting for someone to dump their money in a particular machine (load it) and then jump up to take the seat and cash out a percentage of what that player lost, only thing is most ppl who play these types of machine are aware that they are getting closer to it's inevitable bonus payoff so they have to wait all day for some sucker who's too drunk or stupid to realize he's 3/4 of the way to a nice bonus or who runs out of money before he can earn the bonus, horrible way to make a miniscule amount of profit and only for the truest of degenerates

    True

But that has nothing directly to do with this thread.

But your right, slot degenerates rank right up there with horse handicappers.

First off, what you are speaking of makes up I would say less than 15% of the slots that are beatable.

In the glory days of this racket(1995-2000), there were less than 10 people that knew how to beat certain machines........some only lasted 1-6 months. There is no way anyone on this forum would even know what those machines would be or were like.

.....and believe me, the profits were not miniscue as you stated.

There were a few that made over a million bucks playing these machines.

I lived in Vegas from 1984-2002......associated myself with the sharpest sports handicappers, video poker players, slot players, and other +ev players over those years.

Worked in the sportsbook industry for 9 years, the last 6 in management, before retiring as a full-time gambler in 1996.

    That's cool.

About a half million, give or take a few bucks.........should have made more, but add no great luck and didn't work overly hard at it like a few others(the ones that made one million plus).

Wow.fishhead.Great to see you posting over here.Whenever people ask me to name some sharp guys I have read over the years in forums and around gambling I always mention you and your posts at the rx.If you ever get a forum or a service, send me a pm .I would join in a heart beat.

I would love to to see a mod over here give fishhead a column if he had time to write one. This guy is a wealth of knowledge and somebody who really is a joy to read.

We have a few guys on here who like to talk about advantage gambling and arbitrage betting but fishhead actually did it for years in the glory days when scalping was still really possible.

If you ever have time fishhead,I would love your opinion on scalping in todays market. It seems almost impossible with the way books stay on top of lines. These days it is a completely different climate with the books.

Best news I have had in a while seeing you post over here fishhead, now all we need is pops69 and his over/under systems and threads and this forum will be rocking.Great to see you posting.

i don't know who this fish guy is.. i never heard of him.. but i can assure you that he's full of crap..

gamblers NEVER say they're up.. the only people that brag are the people that can't win.. you never hear a professional gambler announce on a forum that he's up.. ESPECIALLY how much he's up.. this kid is an amateur. and gamblers always exaggerate. when a gambler is up 2300 lifetime, and you ask him how much he's up, he'll say 4200.. they alwys always exaggerate. they have a tendency to remember their wins, but forget their losses, and i am sure this fish guy knows this..

A PRO GAMBLER NEVER BRAGS ABOUT WINNING OR HOW MUCH HE'S UP.. don't forget this.. only amateurs do this.. unless fishy is insecure and needs to prove to us he's smart.

i have known 459 gamblers that are down big lifetime. and when i ask these 459 gamblers if they are up, 458 will say i am up.. and i know 46 gamblers who are up lifetime, and when you ask them if they are up, they always say, i am up a little or close to even, cause pros NEVER want to tell other people they are up. .cause no square who is down money wants to hear this.. always be humble boys. it's the rule of thumb. never brag about winning like this fish guy. it's bad news..

Nicky I have had this discussion with a guy named Sick Gambler from time to time through the years regarding Fishhead and slots and we had wars. Fishhead has mastered the slot machines and can beat them long term and has in the past. I use to not believe him but Nicky this guy proved me wrong.
