    Afternoon Delight ATP Miami Open

FOGNINI against Nishikori 12pm West Coast

    Fognini +1.5 sets (-108) +240 ML

There is a chance Fognini gets a walkover here or Nishikori retires part way through the match. He was having knee problems in today's match. Fognini looked sharp today and was antic free. His forehand should keep Nishikori on the run and tax him. Nishikori has played back to back 3 setters and doesn't appear in top form.

can you just imagine how much coed trim is running around basically raw-dog in South Beach right now Nino?

tennis is the last thing anyone in Miami should be thinking about right now

    GL and good day sir

    I agree with you.

I would even go as far as saying, that Fognini actually cares about this tournament. He grunts a bit in the rallies, and he celebrates (though behaves himself) when he breaks or wins a set. We all know what kind of play he is able to pull of, when he actually cares.

To me, he could also win against Nishikori and I find 3.50 for Italian victory very attractive.

It is hard to predict Nishikori sometimes, he was struggling with injury yesterday, one break down in final set 1-2, but then ripping 4 games in a row to 5-2 lead and won the match in the end...
So it is really hard to know whether he is really injured or not...

not a big fognini fan, but they sure do call him mafia for a reason. easy to forget he was a top player 1 - 2 seasons ago, but will have to say take him on the handicap if you really think nishikiori is injured. as the jap always brings his best even when struggling. mafia can easily go down in flames at the drop of a hat, so take the free points was goning to take nishi at 1. 3 will now just watch the match with curiosity

it all makes sense except for the part where Kei was in the Finals at Miami
last year so he really wants this and is defending points.

this doesn't mean Fabio can't beat him, but it will be tough.

yeah match hard to read as you dont know which fog will show up and dont understand kei injuries look like he was struggling with one at olympics and then he choked winning against rafa but comes good in last set, i avoid most fog matches

Didn't the Japanese trademark the Mario Bros? Does fognini look more like Mario or Luigi?

Only thing I'd be scared of here, if Nishikori just calling it quits......he seems to be hampered out there.

Nishikori is still pretty much affected by the injury...especially his movement and serve...
Fognini is in a very strong position now, 1 set up, 1 break up 3-0 in 2nd set.
Made a bet on him @1.66 after winning the 1st set, hopefully he will not choke it this time

that's what I am worried now too, but he didn't call any medical timeout yet, and just 1 break down, I think he wouldn't give it up so quickly...

Job done...Fognini won 2-0...appreciate that Nishikori fights till the end...some players would have withdrawn or retired much earlier and the bet would be voided from some bookmakers

Current match too tough to call. Venus having good year, Kerber starting to play well. Kerber owns H2H 3-2 I think.
