Everybody's talking about Kansas, but the real story is same old Purdue. During the regular season, it looks like they make up for not having the best guards by having a bunch of guys who can drill 3's in addition to a massive frontcourt, but if you followed Haas and Biggy Swanigan, you'd see just how overrated they are. I didn't even watch more than three minutes of tonight's game, but I've seen Haas blow a bunch of bunnies in other games and Swanigan showcase awful footwork, travel, or pick up dumb charges to know that this low IQ team must have played like it.
And big men are supposed to get better with time. If you come in with a 23 year old seasoned 7 footer and a 6'9" Big Ten Player of the Year plus a group of 40% three pt shooters, you aren't really supposed to get blown out by 32. It shows what a joke Purdue is and what a mediocre coach Painter is.
And I had no betting stake in this game.
