Advice for trying to bet in game bets to middle

What up fellas been a minute since I've been on the site. Hope all is well. Anyways I want to get some feedback on when do you feel it's a good time to try to middle a game u bet ? I'm sure most of you know what I mean but in case some don't I'll give an example. I've been doing a lot of these recently but what to get some advice of maybe when is best.

    Tonight I bet
    Cleveland +1.5

Then end of the first quarter I bet
    Boston +4.5

So I basically have a 5 point middle where I'll win both sides of this bet. Worse case I lose the juice only one one bet.

So when is it best to try to middle in your opinion. 5 points in the first half of an NBA game seems like a great middle to me.

Almost every game I tale a live middle on is a blowout at the end.

    the pros KNOW

its 6.5 point middle if its under 18 mins gone by or less in a 48 min game

the standard deviation and regression analysis would show you that you went from a 77.86% chance of winning bet A

to a 93.454 chance of only winning 1 bet and losing $ on the juice and just a 6.546% chance of winning both, or actually winning money on this game

is the bigger payout worth it?

Wow only a 6.5% chance of hitting that middle ? That seems awfully low. Though I'm not the pro. Thanks for that info Archie.

I will say that I don't think you can beat up too bad doing this. The places with the 20 cents juice kill us on these plays. Get in and out a couple more times to improve your chances?

Good point! Value is where you find it. You have to watch a lot of games to get tuned in-really know teams. In answer to JJ. You need about ten outs and 50k on deposit to play this game well - not in a sock - not blue smoke - not seat of the pants butt scratching and nose picking. This is too hard for a lot of players.

Sam - you could offer free lessons to JJ and show him how to win! After seeing it he would say I am not going to work that hard to win. Will not work at it 10 hours a day - will not fork out 50 k for deposits. What have you got that is easy?

Some people go deer hunting for the sport and entertainment.

Some people are hungry and need the meat to feed their family.

Which one should the deer be worried about?

If you middle a -ev bet with a -ev bet you will lose your bankroll much faster. If you are a recreational gambler it is best to not middle at all.

I have met Fishead-he convinced me he knows how to play. Alan Dinkenson can play as well. There are people that can play and it all comes down to their ability to define value and they can do it. jayc88 - you make a good point - each leg has to have value at the time you play it - not just implied value.

Those things are not even variables or factors in identifying value in a sports bet. Those vices are in a lot of cities in America. To be a good sports bettor distractions have to be at an absolute minimum. Absolutely, positively cannot survive if easily distracted. The intensity - give a crap discipline just gets up and goes.
