    Inaugural trivia question. Obama had tripled Trump's crowd? Wut?

    This I do not believe.
    CBS--as I'm watching the taped version of the inaugural--stated, that, Obama had triple this rather average crowd for this gigantic, prestigious event.

    Now, I looked from the eye of the camera facing out and away from the president's podium, and I saw, I guessed, 2 million people or more?.
    Who has an insight opinion on just how large was this crowd?

    I sure do disagree about Obama having anywhere near triple of this crowd. No way!

    I know that but I was speaking to his core, the ones that got him there.

    Call me me crazy if he was a little more gracious in victory (i.e. not having a victory tour, constantly tweeting) he couldn't had more people show.

    I remember when my older brother graduated from West Point in '07 Dick Cheney was the keynote speaker. I hated the guy's politics, but was excited to meet a Vice President. He was all class and never spoke ill about anyone, he always argued about how he was better without spitting on his rivals.

    I used to hate the guy to my core when he was in office. However, history is the ultimate judge of a person, and can shift perception. Even only 2-5 years out of office we got to know the man more intimately, thanks to him forming close relationship with scholars. While I don't agree with some of his more deceptive tactics, I do believe he did what he thought was best to ensure our security internationally, and he did his damndest for the most people he could. I hope Trump will not isolate himself from scholars, because ultimately they can form his legacy as a president. Perhaps that's just the historian in me talking.
