    Dusty Baker

Another incompetent manager costing his team in the playoffs.

And people wonder why this idiot has been fired from every stop he's been at?

Dusty Baker: lost 8 straight postseason games in which team would have advanced a round with win. That's longest such streak in MLB history

Series is probably right where it should be.

Baker has scherzer and at home in game 5. I like his position but books loved dodgers from get go. Let's see what happens.

Btw does Bryce Harper still play for the nationals?

I have met dusty and he is very smart. My buddy used to own a card shop in san diego and another in san fran. He is one of the smartest guys in baseball. Look the reds didn't make the playoffs for 13 years before dusty and they may not make it for more than that after. Now he is 3-11 on closing out a series. But with the reds is dat dude would of hustled out of the box they sweep the giants. The giants won the world series. He has never had a stud team. He had bonds and nothing around him. Soon as the reds released him they lost big time the next year. As i like telling my friends in the nati. It is better to lay a fat broad than be celibate. I think the reds are going to be celibate for many years.

He's been handed some very good teams. With the exception of his Reds tenure, which was more home grown, he is a failure with some of the greatest talent ever, from Bonds to Harper, Sosa to Scherzer.

All the crack he smoked in the 70s destroyed his brain.

Dodgers can't hit lefties. They have 4 straight lefty batters coming up in the 8th. And Solis is left in the pen until the game is blown.

Talking about bonds and scherzer. Sometimes stars fukk up managers. Leyland won series with no names but never won with star teams.

I thought he cost SFO a championship many years ago... and he cost the Cubs from advancing as well. Everybody remembers Bartman... but what people do not talk about is how he left Kerry Wood out there to get roasted after that incident. Wood had a 110 pitch count, and he would not go to the pen. I always blamed Dusty far more than Bartman

I completely disagree Laker, that 97 squad was bought and paid for. Alou, Bonilla, Sheffield, K Brown were the all star hired guns that Leyland guided to a Championship.

Beyond that, in his Pittsburgh days he only had 1 round to advance...and if it weren't for Sid Bream, who knows!

Dusty is kinda like Marvin Lewis from the Bengals. They do well regular season but the playoffs are a bit different.

OK Leyland had 1 year with a pre steroid Bonds where BB hit .300 and belted 30 hrs. From 93-02 BB had 7 years and what, 6 mvp awards. Not the same player.

In Detroit Leyland won 6 post season series, advanced to 2 world series.

Dusty loses Thursday he will have lost 10 straight close out games.

Leyland has a Championship, Dusty does not. Dusty has had the better teams overall, and the better versions of Scherzer and Bonds. Team should have signed Bud Black.

Guy that was on that marlins team was named chad fox. My brother went to every game with them. He had tickets to cubs in chicago for me but couldn't find anyone who i wouldn't have to pay for everything. He was also friends with beckett's sister. Same class at spring high school in texas. Anyway chad blew his arm out closing for the cubs a couple years later. He stated to my brother that dusty was the best manager he ever had. After marlins won the ws they gave out things to the families of the players. I have an copy of mazeroski sp crossing home plate for the pirates.

    I hear you pal.

Let's talk about this series though. Haven't the nats been a dog in every game? Well it's tied. Now only issue for me I scherzer is most likely favored in game 5. I'm not a big fan of his.

kerry woods had a fuckked up motion. he was doomed with his motion. He didn't use his legs a lot more arm action so to blame that on dusty makes me wonder

Black manager in DC fits I guess, even if he's not competent.
