They beat up on the Phillies and Braves. Any team could do that.

Two seasons ago every New Yorker wanted this guy gone. I remember some posters spouting last year Mets were successful despite terry collins.

He makes a lot of bonehead moves... not pinch running for Wilmer Flores the winning run on 2nd who gets thrown out at home in extra innings, not only the Mets lose that game but lost a red hot Wilmer Flores for the year to injury on the slide at home. His reasoning was because he 'forgot' and was instead focused on the next inning pitching matchups.

That's just one example, but I can come up with many others. He is good at some things, but his surrounding coaches either need to be more assertive and less drunk on the bench and help him with game management. Because he's not that great at it.

According to FanRag Sports' Jon Heyman, the Mets (55-71) are unlikely to renew Collins' contract which expires at the end of the season. The report isn't surprising, especially after Collins said in October that 2017 could be his last.

Terry Collins, good baseball guy but kind of a lightweight, more subordinate to his GM (Sandy Alderson) than most MLB managers. I don't even think he gets to select starting lineups.
