We are all probably better than professional tauts because we actually put money on our picks instead of trying to sell them, so naturally we have more at stake and are probably more confident in what we bet. Cowherd can't be betting on his picks because he would have quit by now, he would be at least 100 units down.

Not exactly true. Think of the thousands and thousands of terrible degenerate gamblers out there that can't stop yet can't pick a winner yo save their life. Whether a tout wins on a consistent basis he will always be given thousands of sheep to call by references from books and other sources that will believe anything. Especially when it gets really bad for people like that. No tout is ever going to run out of sheep. Just look at our service plays thread, so many poor saps.

Most of the sales people or touts offer to reimburse half ur loss as mentioned above. They also pick both sides of the same game and split the picks among their clients so that they net a profit regardless of outcome

My point is Cowherd is giving his picks publicly and not both sides and we can track how poorly he is doing. Someone giving out both sides of a game is a fraud. Who believes that touts are actually better than the average bettor?? Hank Greenberg was terrible, Jimmy the Greek was decent, the Swami can't even pick games straight up. Cowherd had one of the best seasons ever a few years ago. Lost the first week, then won 16 weeks in a row, with a lot of 4-1 weeks. He was awful the next season, I believe he is .500 this season so far.

He does seem to some that he is great because of ONE season that everyone brings up instead of the 5 or 6 that he stunk it up.
