    I hate unders, but....

.... geez, I don't see them putting up 63 in Australia this Friday night for Cal-Hawaii. New QB for Cal... plus they have a good defense; I wouldn't be surprised to see Hawaii in the single digits.

Seems like this is a great opportunity for an easy hedge. Bet the under and cal -20.5. I can't see how both lose. Both could win and at worst you'll pay juice. If the over hits it's because of Cal. I don't think Hawaii scores 20 points...

Neither Cal or Hawaii have a good defense. lol. Not sure what kind of capping you did before this game.

I don't think it's betting the under that was the problem. It's not knowing how these teams would perform in the first week of the season. Hawaii had a really bad offense last year, against teams worse than Cal. They outperformed expectations by a lot.

In an average week, what's the split of overs vs unders? 50/50? If it's consistently much higher than that then I agree betting unders is not worth it. Anyone know what the split is?

I liked under 63.5 and loved it at 66.5. I lost this bet bad and am disappointed. But the totals become inflated because of games like this. Hawaii averaged 17 points a game last year. They won't put up 31 again all season probably...

It is hard to see why anyone would take the under considering that Hawaii returned 9 starters on offense, and Cal only 5 on defense. Do your homework and stop trying to use logic that is not there. Cal's defense gave up 31 ppg last season and that was the lowest in 3 years. Hawaii's defense gave up 36. That adds up to 67.
