I really don't know why they are trading their whole team away. They are still in it. Seven games out of first.

    new era

you almost have to do a complete rebuild and blow it up if you want to have a shot at a long successful run

Royals, Pirates, Astros, Cubs are the examples now

some fans really enjoy Yankees mediocrity because they love Yankees for not winning shit but still have a winning records and barely make wild card everyyear and then be bounced out, thats what most yankees haters enjoy. And now Yankees are starting a complete rebuild, haters willl be be panic mode because they sense that another dynasty is coming for hte Yankees with their ability to just pry every top free agents and have that enormous resources to outspend everyone. 2018 is coming, thats the year they will start competing again, 2018 free agency class is insane, and expect yankees to sign 2 or 3 superstars.

there's no point, they wont it it all with that lineup, whats the point for yankees to make playoff and be knocked out first round, lol. It's ws ring or bust everyyear for the yankees.

As a Yankees fan, good. This team needs to get younger. Chapman and Beltran would have walked at the end of this season. They still have an opportunity to sign them back during free agency. Miller hurt a bit but Betances could take his place as closer. Now they have a bunch of arms with high upside to get to the closer. Severino needs to get his shit together. Nova was never anything special. Sure he'd have stretches of being dominant but so does every other pitcher. Tex is gone after this year. Next year is Arod and CC's last year. Payroll drops to something like 80mil for the 2018 season. Now they can throw 30mil at Harper for 10 years and bring up a bunch of no name young guys who can ball just like the Cubs did.

Yankees now have the first or second best farm system. If they want to trade a few prospects for a big name in the coming years, now they have the chance to do it. This season was lost when they started out 9-18. Sure, they're a couple games over 500 but there are too many teams to jump for the division and the WC. Getting swept by Tampa was the icing on the cake.

I know but they realize now you cannot win with big names that are high priced

Angels will let Trout go too as they lose every year with him

question when will the Texans move on from JJ watt as seeing he's nothing but a jersey seller you can't build a nfl team around him it will never work....chapman I like the relief future on the Mariners Edwin Diaz...will eventually be top tier what you guys think?

Ivan Nova is trash. It's not like they traded an elite pitcher.

Nova turned out to be best starting pitching pick up at deadline

rest of pirates shit bed though

Yankees get a top farm club and chance to compete now by playing .620 ball since deadline

It's amazing how Searage gets the most out of these guys. The man almost ended up not coaching baseball. Great story.

Nova should buy him a car

might have earned him an extra 20 million in free agency
