I don't get mind fukked often, but the betting line talked me out of my Seattle play and it's rare that I get mind fukked like this.

I said to myself, one one hand you have a Cy Young Award winner up against a ham and egg washed up lefty hamburger in Matusz.

You have an offense, not quite as good as the Cubs, but when pitted against a lefty like Matusz, almost equal, I say that because Cruz crushes LHP and Cano when he was in NY ate up shit LHP.

I was looking at King Felix at +125 and I was drooling, saying to myself Christmas in July.
Thought it was to good to be true, and passed.

Now I am fuming, not hating life because life is good, but I'm pissed.
Now where is daddy's bourbon, uh oh, hide the women and children, Nashy is going to start to drink.
This is not going to end well.

    Kidding of course.
    (maybe)

They said the same thing about the 1984 Tigers when they started out 35 and 5.

How'd that work out for them?

Whatever happened to relief pitching in baseball? It seems nobody can hold leads anymore for the most part

Great relief pitching has always been rare.

Take away the 2014-2015 KC Royals, the Mariano Yankee era, the Nasty Boy Reds, and the Padres with Hoffman, what's left?
Eck was an all time great, you can make a case for Gossage, but when you start putting John Franco. Lee Smith and Joe Nathan in the top ten of all time, what's that say?

That has to be the first time in history that a pitcher has pinch hit and ended a game with a walk off bunt with 2 strikes.

I'm speechless, I am without speech.
I've been eating, sleeping, shitting baseball since I was eight years old.

This has to be the most insane game I have ever seen.

Maddon called that, I am convinced he is a mad genius.

    Unreal.
