Rigged NBA Finals Game 7 Worths $80 million For ABC & NBA

    https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/m...201221014.html

So, if the 2016 NBA Finals had ended with a Game 5 victory by the Warriors, ABC would have missed out on the ad revenues of Game 6 and Game 7—which will probably total in excess of $80 million, based on estimates from last year.

NBA goal is clear, force as many games as possible then let the deserving winner win it, AKA THE DUBS. Cavs, try harder next year.

I don't want to hear any more conspiracy theories about the games being rigged. No major sports league gonna risk their reputation just for 80 million. Thats a drop in the bucket, games won fair and square

man, and I thought it was Green getting suspended because he once again hit someone low on purpose to miss game 5 and in game 6 the Cavs were on a fast break every other play via turnovers and the Warriors shot brick after brick, iggy hurting himself, getting nothing from some players who played good in games 1-4...

    stupid me

NBA got what they wanted and game 7 WILL NOT BE RIGGED. either way the league wins, if cleveland wins its a heartwarming story abotu a city that hasnt won a major pro sports championship in 52 years, iif GSW wins its the greatest season in NBA history that will be discussed forever. The public is pretty much 50/50 betting the 5 point spread on game 7 so the books dont care either what happens they just rake in the juice.

ML not even. Public taking Cleveland, not to mention people who took Cleveland to win this series for +1000 or so. Books seem to know GSW should win this series in the end. ESPN BPI giving GSW 73% chance of winning. Golden state can play mediocre at home and still pull out the W. They can run another team off the court in 5 minutes. Oracle is a great equalizer for subpar GSW play.

It's just not $80 million. This game will most likely be the largest viewed game in the history of the NBA. Over 50% of the US will tune in tomorrow. The international coverage will only be rivaled by the Superbowl. China is having watch parties. This game is probably worth more like 1/2 a billion if you look at the big picture.

Maybe you and your friends are... limped wrist?

Game 7 will most likely hit a 40+ rating. The only reason it won't go higher is because of the Game of Thrones finale.

Game 7 won't be rigged. What was rigged was bringing the finals to 3-3.

As far as being rigged, did they rig Cleveland shooting 52% to the Warriors' 40% also? and turnovers? and rebounds?

I'm really pulling for GS, but it's obvious Cleveland was a better team for game 5 and 6

Yes the NBA wanted a game 7. Truly they want a game 7 every series. It's the whole reason 5 game series were discontinued. Now, did they rig it to get a game 7? No. You'd see 7 game series throughout playoffs. There'd be no sweeps so as to maximize profit in every series. A game 5 or even 6 brings in a little extra cash to the league. So anyway enough with the bullshit. So many people on here thought GSW would finish in 5 without Dray Green. Now that they didn't and we have game 7 it's all rigged. SMH.

You really think half of the U.S is going to watch an NBA game? No way in hell. This ain't the Superbowl. It's mostly blacks that even follow the NBA.

Rigged isn't the right word really. You can't make the players make or miss shots. And they aren't missing on purpose at this point. Game 3 maybe, a lot of iffy things in that one. Warriors played with no energy and ran their offense different than normal but who knows. Anyway, the NBA can do some things to skew it in the favor of one team. It obviously can only do so much, which is why you don't see 7 games in every big series. For those that always come back with 'well, why so many sweeps or 5 game series.' Sometimes a team is just that good, or maybe the NBA doesn't care in a weak matchup, like a Finals of Orlando and the Lakers. These aren't huge markets with Cleveland and Golden State, obviously, but the players involved bring in viewers and the casual fan wants to watch. So many compelling subplots in this one that 7 games is a goldmine.

Of course it's not rigged like Silver tells the refs which team will win; that would be stupid. But you can suspend players when it's iffy like they did with Green. They can tell the refs to call fouls and games a certain way, not to favor one team wink wink. The refs aren't stupid, they know what the league would prefer and they would rayher, like the rest of us, make our bosses more money than less.

Draymond getting suspended for game 5 wasn't a rig since it was warranted...Draymond NOT getting suspended in the OKC series was/is the major rig job of the entire playoffs. 2 kicks to a groin, and 1 kick to the face and a tiny fine to show for it

The stupidity continues... Have you ever been to an NBA game? The NBA is the ONE sport that attracts viewers from all demographics. I know you want to find a way to denigrate the NBA but people from all over the world, age group, ethnicity is watching. Blacks and Asians watch in very high percentage numbers but Hispanics and whites are catching up. The NBA is putting in numbers close to the Superbowl right now, especially in social media where i.e. they've out done the superbowl in tweets and online interaction. Watch what number they put in tonight.

Stop trying to make everything a damn race issue. Fukk off.

The even more ridiculous part of this argument? The league doesn’t earn any extra television money from a Game 7, since the NBA signed a long-term television-rights deal in 2014. So how or why would they rig?

Well we're having 10% yearly inflation so what do you expect? Also yes the world is rigged the entire world is rigged...the NBA absolutely wants these games going the most games and the players know nothing of it but the refs absolutely do know. They have specific teams of refs they use to do these types of games with I'm sure. Go read the book "the Fix is in" it basically proves sports are fixed...People are so penetrating naive it's insane this is why the NWO runs the world because of your guys naivete. They run our law system, our banking system, our financial system, our education system, all of the big corporations owners are the ones who also own all of the big sports leagues. Why do you think you constantly see NWO agendas being promoted by sports leagues? They want open borders, no guns, etc, etc, and they push these agendas because they're all working for the same shit...a socialist one world government. Shit's here basically already, and we're most likely screwed anyways to be honest...
