How much $$$ is wagered on a single MLB game? Anyone knows?

I was wondering if there is a source to estimate how much $$$ is wagered on a single MLB game?

Pinnacle is offering around $10,000 limit and even more per game .. so does it mean if someone bets $10,000 on a game - is that a large bet that can affect the outcome of the match or that's just small potatoes?

In another words, if someone is betting, say $30,000 on one MLB match - would that risk the game to be rigged against him or that's just small amount of money?

    I'm just asking this hypothetically.

I disagree about 10 k money - that will move Pinny at least 2-4 cents in mlb. Only way to find out is to do it! I think things that move lines the most are layoff bets by other books, locals, etc. Whole new world in that level of money. BTW, Pinny's volume cannot be anywhere close to what it used to be. (Rainbow (who used to work for the Greek) once old me it would knock a book down to 20% of volume by leaving the USA customers behind.

    Thanks for your response.
I am asking, hypothetically, if someone bets $10k in Pinny ... would that potentially or hypothetically can cause the team he bets on to purposely lose the bet? That's what I'm asking ... I don't care if it causes line movements with the bookmaker - I'm just wondering if that could cause the bookmaker to somehow use the mafia or many other ways to rig a game and screw the bet somehow?

Are you being serious? Baseball players make 10 million a year do you really think they are going to throw a game for a couple grand?

I'm not saying anything is rigged but they would pay a pitcher much more then a couple grand if the game had a big volume. Look at nfl games. Billions are wagered on Sundays offshore. If there were bribes I would say they would be in the high six figure payouts don't you think? Again not saying there are just saying your couple grand comment is highly underestimating that amount of revenue that comes in on games

It is one thing that intrigues me about the marketplace that the sportsbook knows that we do not. Who the big money is coming from? What the volume (open interest) is on the game. What the sportsbook holds on a number before they move? As far as possible crookedivity-that is just as important to me as drug testing and I am willing to start with umpires-refs-league president, etc. But, players as well - but then you get into 5th amendment rights, etc. So how do you do it - a player - taking a dive is essentially a crime against millions of people?

Go to betfair. That will give you an idea of how much is being wagered on a particular game though might not be the best indicator for baseball.

That nonchalant bailout at the end. Dude, is a badass though. See him dodge those people on the ground. The guy that chases him down is a G too

Bu I'm watching it while I'm typing and it could be fake. Notice the red shape that he appears to be sitting on, then watch the foot of the guy who hops in. Something definitely looking off there and maybe those red things on the back too.

    Still awesome though

After watching it for 2 hours straight laughing the whole time I realized it's a total fake. Funny as hell though. How the fuk would the cart just drive by itself like that. At first it appears real. But no way in hell.
