When will we put scales at the entrances of restaurant buffets to weigh people? If you are 5'-3" and you weigh more than 300 pounds you can't eat a buffet. Why do my health insurance rates have to skyrocket because obese people decide to eat a lot of food?

Nowhere else in the world do you see such a high rate of disgusting fat slobs. I can't even go to Walmart because these people are always blocking the aisles. pavy you are breaking my heart. But it is the cost of the pills that are really killing you. my uncle gets his insulin in columbia when he goes to one of his companies. it cost him 7 dollars there but costs 293 here. same insulin goes for 5 dollars in the philippines.that is us dollars.

diabetes is genetically passed on. friend of mine went from a 230 lb middle linbacker to 120 lb been pole from diabetes. your health care costs are going up because of health companies having to make a certain profit for share holders. Back in the 80's and 90's these companies invested in things that were paying good return on money eg properties. with things going south they have to jump premiums. One thing you'll never see is an insurance company going bankrupt. it is because they pass cost on to consumer.

If they said all gambling is banned would you quit gambling? These people will eat anyway. We as a country need to stop micromanaging everybody's lives. This is supposed to be a free country. Health care costs are not due to obese people. Actually, they probably have lower total costs than many "healthy" people. The huge percentage of healthcare costs comes from people living longer at the end of lives. Uncomfortable truth. Fat people usually don't get to that point.

Skinny fat people are fat asses who are in denial about being fat. They think that since they are not a 600 pound bed ridden whale like the mom on What's Eating Gilbert Grape?, that they are in good shape. Yet they are fat, with a high BF% and a beer belly and low muscle mass. Skinny fats are opened up to all the risks of being obese without being obese. Therefore since they are not obese, they have their guard down and have bad diet habits and health habits. They think they can go to the gym and run on the elliptical machine for 30 minutes, and think thats enough to stuff themselves later on.
