Terrible situation for sure. But if the kid grows up in urban Cincinnati, this will seem like a walk in the park....

Aint right though, the gorilla gets locked up in a zoo and the kid comes into his territory and still the gorilla ends up getting killed for his troubles.

If the gorilla would have twisted the kid's head off, then everyone would be pissed that they didn't kill it. Just a bad situation all around.

A couple years ago at the Pittsburgh zoo, some idiot parent dropped their kid into an area where wild dogs tore the kid apart.

Gorillas are vegans. Why would a gorilla kill a human? They are very intelligent animals. A child is not like a coconut or a pineapple. It has a heartbeat. Gorillas know.

    Remember this one?

Jambo shot to international news stardom overnight on August 31, 1986, when five year old Levan Merritt fell into the gorilla enclosure and lost consciousness. Jambo stood guard over the boy when he was unconscious, placing himself between the boy and other gorillas in what ethologists analyze as a protective gesture. He later stroked the unconscious boy. When the boy regained consciousness and started to cry,

Damn gorilla was an endangered species. The stupid kid will most likely grow up to be useless like 99% of the other 7 billion idiots roaming the planet. Especially if he's dumb enough to enter a gorilla cage. The whole situation is f'd up though. I can see everyone's points. How is it even possible for a kid to get into the animal area? What was the dumb mom doing instead of watching her kid?

It seems pretty hypocritical on the part of the zoo to advocate for saving endangered species and breeding them and then to blatantly kill one on their own property. They pretty much just lost all credibility. It won't happen cause our society is soft but I'd like to see the mom get charged with endangering a child or something like that since the whole incident is her fault. If you can't take care of your kids then either don't have any or stay in your damn house. It's that simple. Maybe they need to change the policy at zoos, no kids under 12 allowed on property with or without parent and anyone entering the animal area without approval change the laws so it's a felony.

Anything is possible, but I'm guessing there is most likely footage of the kid sneaking in.

I really haven't paid much attention to the story.
