    Conf finals and finals.

    Games are garbage.

Ive been saying this for years

Regular Season is meaningless when over half the teams get into the playoffs

I don't even watch regular season since nothing is on the line

No one cares about sub .500 teams making the playoffs

I agree with this, I have always enjoyed baseball playoffs better and respected the teams that were able to make it because half the league doesnt get in

NBA is a giant pyramid scheme where all the talent is funneled to the top 4 teams or so.

LeBron was right, there isn't enough basketball talent to fill 30 NBA rosters. Contract the league.

Games are so non competitive. It's truly a shame considering this is what we wait all year for.

With all the players in the league now, the average player has to be better than any time in history. There are just only a few "Elite" players and if everyone had "Elite" players we would consider them to be "average"

Think I'm going to agree. Winner is usually a 1 or 2 seed and virtually never below 4. Too much money at stake though, will never happen.

At least reduce round 1 to best of 5 like it used to be. Or best of 3.

No, then better team might lose. Just skip it. If you can't make top 4, you don't belong. Or top 3, with 4 and 5 as a play-in game.

    Agree

Top heavy garbage league. 6 teams decent enough shot rest whore shit. Just want $$$ fukk entertainment. Been headed this direction once players took pay cuts to join other league stars. Exception of this of course with Warriors.

I don't think so bro. Teams getting smarter. They know you have to build from the bottom and retain your guys.

    Bad idea.

That would make the regular-season just about inconsequential.

Just make each around less games.

I would say the more important thing is to figure out how to keep teams from tanking and resting people before the playoffs. maybe reducing the teams that get in could help this?

Agree but we all know tv $ talks and good reasoning walks. Hell they went opposite of good reasoning when going best of 7 format in rnd 1 few years ago. Least bring back the best of 5 and flush the turds faster.

Make it best-of-three, and give the team with the better record every home game.

This will make everyone really work hard for a top four seed.

Your idea was for the top two teams in each conference to get home games.

There's far fewer bad contracts being handed out in recent years. Not saying it still doesn't happen but teams are getting smarter.

Well the retain your guys part not working so well Wiz. This modern era more about packing their bags and teaming up with their buddies in a better market or situation. Teams like Sac, Minny, Denver, New Orleans among others have zero chance pretty much of keeping a top level act long enough to build a team.

Pelicans locked up Anthony Davis. Timberwolves are going to have a crazy good core for years. Oklahoma City of all fukking places has managed to be a top 4 team in the league for the past 5 seasons.

Everyone will try to copy Golden State. There's only one Steph Curry but you can try to replicate their depth and the way they share the ball. And the league on the whole is trending towards smaller lineups.

Well Minny....hard to keep guys let's be honest. Held onto KD for a stretch but after awhile it will wear thin even he moved on won elsewhere, and Love did same. Same with Grizz held their core guys but led to nothing. We shall see moving forward but that seems where it's headed for most part. 20 years from now gonna be hard pressed to find that star that held one jersey like Magic, Legend, Isiah, MJ, Dream , Duncan. New era and $$ motivations more than ever along with playing with your buddies.

You will defend this garbage product until the bitter end.

And you will rip it and yet still continue to watch and bet on it.

Like I said, there's still bad contracts. It's nowhere near as bad as it was 5-10 years ago. Teams get smarter over time.

Bad contracts in all sports no question. Mlb guilty of probably the most asinine and market getting out of control lately! Paying these mid level players , and guys 30+ signed up for 8/10 year deals worth 200 mill +. Absolutely insanity at its worst with Hamilton/Halos deal and even Pooholes leading charge of ineptitude from front offices. How bout Votto now? Lol too fukkin funny smh

MLB is out of control but that's because there's no salary cap and teams get these insane TV contracts.

There's a reason the Yankees and Angels don't win anymore.

Would be pretty meaningless anyway since more teams would be done and out earllier in the season and not have much to play for
