lol i posted this since so many on here talk about anxiety (don't ever take xanax for anxiety).

and lately my calves have been cramping every time i ball.

well magnesium supplements and eating bananas have been working so far.

but before taking any supplements, go talk to your doctor and take a blood test.

only difference is pharmaceuticals will kill you... never heard of someone overdosing on magnesium or robbing someone for vitamin c.

Of course. It's just how he's tying everything to magnesium, like other posters were alluding to.

    Doing low-carb 6 days a week, I take a calcium/mag/zinc supplement. When I forget to, I do notice it.

cramps after like the 3rd game then my hamstrings would sometimes cramp during night times after workouts.

probably had to do with magnesium, potassium, and sodium since i sweat so much when i ball.

Personally I blame it on low sodium. The cramping.

Technically... let's say someone had a high sodium diet.... and gained a lot of weight. It's their first time back in the gym (1st week) and they lost a lot of fluids... I've seen people who have extremely high sodium levels start cramping. So you can blame it on low sodium levels... or extremely high sodium levels.

I trained with "just water" for about a week... just to see what it's like? Man.... I was cramping up everywhere.

I've always been on Powerade Zero while training. I believe in it 100%

You can also dilute it with water too.

So all of a sudden you're cramping up? You taking creatine? Over doing creatine can make you cramp up also. There's something you're eating that has high sodium. Did you change your diet?

I hope you figure it out. Don't think too much about it. I mean.... if you're training hard.... doing hard cardio... sweating a lot... I try to get in at least 100-128 oz in 24 hours. Not just water.... all my liquids combined.... powerades etc.

I just remember in my younger years never hydrating properly. Now it's just a habit to constantly take in fluids.

I have been doing this for the past five years and haven't been sick in those five years. I own retail and work the counter around sick everyday. My family gets sick but I don't. 40s, smoker, drinker and degen gambler. At the bottom...research Spirulina.. Unreal benefits, no taste can be sprinkled on food even. Only a tsp a day.

    Only pills I take are...

Organic Garlic with Allicin ---< key addition

    CoQ10

Liquid: The following freeze dried, organic powder into one full glass of water everyday.

Your speaking to majority people who also believe Vitamins and Tylenol are beneficial to the human body LOL.

You don't sweat out Vitamins!, don't need to put them in via pill form.

And I won't get into over the counter pain killers. Better off handing that money to the homeless guy outside Walgreens, also hand him a little piece of your liver as well.

what do you consider legit? history of the medical industry is shady. do you know why the pharmaceutical industry is so big? most modern doctors are nothing more than drug pushers. hence, i refuse to go to the doctor unless i have to and i haven't been to one in over 20 years.

It's all about diet. We can get everything we need through a balanced diet.

Reminds me a bit of the Vit D debate, and how Vit D deficiency became the main culprit for basically every disease known to man

Screw OTC anything, it's a trillion dollar business empire that is designed simply to take your hard earned money.....

You want a pain killer, go to your dr and get Oxy, pay 2.43 at your local Bartells for #90

Then you get real pain relief that's not killing your liver for nothing
