    Bryce Harper or Mike Trout?

Who do you want on your team?

Trout for me,their both pretty even,I just don't like the way Harper carries himself though compared to Trout. Bit of a smarmy prick is Harper.

Harper is turning into the better hitter. He's in total command at the plate. His plate discipline is phenomenal.

I agree. Trout still striking out too much. His BB/K not as good as Bryce, especially last season. Harper may very well walk more than he strikes out this year. He almost did it last year.

Yep. His OBP is insanely good. He's a douche but I don't really care about that. I don't need to hate him until the Phillies get good which is years away.

This isnt that close. Harper is the best player in the league by a good margin.

His attitude isn't really a problem for me. Look at Jordan. Guy was a prick but is still probably the best all time. I think it's the fierce competitiveness. Bryce just new age hipster type of competitor.

Yeah Philly hasn't had a competitive team in a while have they? Few years it feels like.

Luckily the Phils, he will be a Yankee next season. Probably stras too.

They are the future of the league.

Two guys with HOF potential if they can keep it up for 15 years.

Trout. His stolen bases and defense set him apart. Trout is a true 5-tool guy. Harper is a 2-tool guy (power, batting average/OBA) that does those two tools extremely well, but I'll take the 5-tool guy.

Trout doesn't really steal bases anymore. He did his first two years but not anymore.

Trout. I couldn't have a guy that wears red contact lenses on my team.

Why doesn't Mike Trout steal bases anymore? It's the biggest mystery in baseball.

I always thought he would make a great leadoff hitter, very much like Rickey Henderson.

But he still has much more speed than Harper, he could steal more if he wanted to (or if Angels turned him loose)

Blice Hawpa is getting good commercials to help change the perception of his image that's for sure. He's a great player but I'd still take Trout.

Trout has some holes in his swing and doesn't steal bases anymore.

Trout may be slightly better defensively but I don't think that offsets the edge Harper has at the plate.

I would take Harper although you wouldn't go wrong with either.

    Does Harper have a cannon?

Harper has a better arm for sure. I said "slightly" being generous.

I think people think Trout is a great defender bc he makes the occasional diving catch that gets shown on Sportscenter.

Trout doesn't cover as much ground as he used to.

I really don't understand why he doesn't run anymore. Maybe the steroids have slown him down.

Trout probably doesn't care as much cause his team is average/sucky right now. Harper is on a team that is competitive and expected to challenge for division titles or at least a playoff spot. When you know you aren't going anywhere why bust your ass? Everyone already knows Trout is a 5 tool player. He's got a dude that's closer to 40 and batting .180 protecting him in the lineup right now. 99% of people in that situation wouldn't bust their ass. Harper is in a much better spot right now, better team, better lineup, better incentive to put up numbers but I'd rather build a team around Trout given the option of the two. Harper is a drama queen.

Harper will be a Yankee in a few years

Grew up a Yankee fan and all of the bad contracts will be cleared when he becomes a FA

He's a prick but I think I would take him over Trout....very close
