Are they allowing BTC withdrawal for accounts funded with other methods for anyone? Trying to get some out and getting these same processor delays and live chat informed me the initial deposit had to be in btc to receive btc payouts.

Really sucks, they will have a run on them now from people wanting to withdraw and probably fail. I hate our government full of crooks who have legislation for anything they don't control or can't tax. Then they also keep things illegal so they can run the black markets, when something is illegal it drives the price through the roof. GOVERNMENT SHIPS IN THE DRUGS AND USES BIG BANKS TO LAUNDER THE MONEY. LOL.

    Hi SharpAngles,

Even if you didn't deposit through bitcoin you can take a withdrawal via bitcoin at 5Dimes, if you weren't a bitcoin depositor all that means is your weekly cap in taking BTC out would be $5,000. Ask for Becky via live help if you have any trouble with customer service.

    Exactly!

I've been with 5D for 11 years, and never deposited with Bitcoin...but have had numerous Bitcoin withdrawals...capped at 5K per week...all Bitcoin payouts have been very smooth!

What btc wallet do you use/recommend for others? I was skeptical about btc at first but I'm 100% on-board with it now. I need to get a wallet set up today so I can make some transactions. Thanks.

Raiders is the resident "Bitcoin expert" in my opinion...I've learned most all I know from his posts...I was skeptical as well before jumping in...but now I'm in, it is the BEST!

But to answer your question, the first step is to setup a blockchain.info wallet. That should be your first move when withdrawing from the sports books...once you have the funds in your control at blockchain, then the options are endless...

-You can use localbitcoins to get you money out in countless ways
-You can transfer to an exchange like Coinbase/Circle/other exchanges and withdraw your money to your bank account...

The main point that I have come to embrace over the last few months, is that Bitcoin is the best deposit/withdrawal method right now for dealing with sportsbooks...it is quick, and is growing by the day in popularity.

And know that at some point....in 1 year or 10, it will be replaced by something else because something that makes gamblers lives "too easy" (See Neteller) will ultimately be shut down for many of us.

Let's enjoy it's convenience while we can.

if someone wants to keep it simple, they can just set up the circle account and skip the other steps

doing the blockchain wallet is only an extra step to avoid getting booted from circle or coinbase, probably totally unnecessary for 99% of bitcoin users

Ok, dumb question, and I know first post. Moving the funds from blockchain to Circle, how do you do that? I see the way to do it via email, but then how would you get the funds in Circle when it is sent to your email address?

Also, on the checks from 5dimes. I requested one about a month ago and was basically told a week later that was no longer an option.

I requested my check on the 11th of April. I was told yesterday that my check had been mailed out and that I should receive my check by this Friday.

    I'll keep y'all posted.

Just a heads up, I was told my check had been mailed out as well. It never was. When I cancelled my check the funds were immediately put back in the account.

If you haven't, ask to speak to a manager in payouts to verify it actually was mailed. The main CSRs give a lot of conflicting information sometimes.

    An updated to my previous post;

On April 11th I requested a low four figure payout. After being told it was sent via the page on 5D I was told, like several others in this thread, that there was a delay. I spoke to a rep last week and I waited another week plus and no check has arrived.

I spoke to 5D today and the check still has not been sent and I wasn't given an answer as to why the delay was happening nor could they update as to when it would be sent.

No debit card payout option because it is my first payout.

I don't know much about btc but it seems as if I better read up on it and figure it out because the check option seems futile.

Ok I have set up at blockchain, circle and coinbase

I did a circle and coinbase because I see circle says they will only process $300 at a time.

Does Coinbase also have limits on withdrawals?

I am totally new to this so please forgive me if I am asking newbie questions.

    The process would be;

I tell 5D I want it in btc
I give them my blockchain wallet address
    They send it
And then I transfer it from blockchain to circle/coinbase
And then from circle/coinbase to bank account

Do you guys use the debit card or bank account xfer from the circle/coinbase wallets?

yes, this is the correct process. I have a debit card linked to my checking account. Most btc buying sites set you up with low limits to begin and up them as you add security elements or make more transactions. The $300 is a weekly instant limit...no wait time.

Remember that 5dimes will send you a confirmation email after you process the request on the site...you must verify your account credentials and the btc address you used for the request (be careful in the form they send it says btc wallett address in the text and btc wallet id in the form portion.....you DON'T give them your wallet id...only the btc address you used...I told them this would be confusing to some people). Also remember that when your money is in blockchain it might fluctuate since it is btc so you want to move it to circle fairly quickly and it takes circle about 40 minutes to verify the funds (4 confirmations by miners required). Then you can send money back to your checking account.

Just to add an option, I prefer itbit. I have been using them for a while and have made quite a few withdrawals to my bank account using them. I also use coinbase. But with the reports of coinbase users getting blocked for being suspected gamblers I thought you might want to try something that hasn't had problems.

Thanks memento and ace, very helpful.

mem - you mention four confirmations by miners required. What does that mean?

Also I suppose the safer option is to link the debit card versus the checking account to circle?

I'll read up more tomorrow and then contact 5D Saturday for the btc payout. Hopefully they don't charge me to cancel the check.

In blockchain when you send btc you can see how many confirmations there are by clicking on "my transactions" from your main account page. When depositing at a book you will need anywhere from 1-6 confirmations depending on the book. You will usually have 6 confirmations within an hour.

Rocky, a question for you that I posted above as well:

I know I'm missing something obvious, but what is the step getting money from blockchain to Circle? I see the "email" option in blockchain, but how do you actually go to your Circle account and get the money from blockchain?

A couple of comments from above.

    1. itBit sends out 1099s.
    2. Pure bitcoin books credit your account immediately with 0 confirmations.
    3. To transfer from Blockchain to Coinbase, you hit "send" on Blockchain . Put in your bitcoin address from Coinbase and the BTC will be transferred from Blockchain to Coinbase.

I called 5Dimes yesterday and was told that my check would go out in a couple of days. I cancelled that check requested, got the money back in my 5Dimes account, and then requested a payout via Bitcoin. I successfully got the Bitcoins in my wallet 12 hours later.

It seems like 5Dimes has plenty of cash flow but is having trouble with their processors.

    Good luck!

one thing to add about buying bitcoin. i've heard some banks for example that rhyme with ace will close your account. banks with initials ba and wf are fine with it.

Hmmm...I use the one that rhymes with ace. But I won't be buying BTC - just want an avenue to get my money out of 5D. Once that transaction is complete then I am done.

If I do continue betting online then I will use another bank should I want to buy BTC (or just leave some BTC in block chain).

    Thanks for the heads up.

    Final update on my payout request from 5D;

I decided to set up the bitcoin services on my end since the check processing was not happening. I contacted live help last night and the process took about 20 minutes for them to cancel my check and put the money back in my account. I made the BTC payout request while on with the rep and it went through.

This morning I had the verification e-mail from 5D and after my response to that e-mail the transaction was processed within 15 minutes or so.

The BTC were sent to blockchain and then I transferred them to circle (picking up about $25 in profit from the transfer from block to circle) and then just linked my debit card to circle and requested the $1xxx to be transferred to my debit card.

Have to say...very painless using the BTC method.
