SEC trying to block Michigan from practicing in Florida

I knew this was going to happen when Harbaugh announced this on signing day. This is going to be interesting how this turns out. Obviously no school in the south wants Harbaugh building solid relationships with high school coaches and players.

Currently there is no rule in place to stop Harbaugh so this is going to turn ugly I imagine as it getting ever closer to spring practices.

It's actually really a smart move for Harbaugh, he knows Michigan has plenty of money to do this and will help recruiting although I imagine it won't last long as many schools that don't have the budget of some of the bigger schools will have the ncaa put a stop to it on the grounds of an unfair playing field.

To be fair they could always let Florida schools go practice in the cold and snow in Michigan.

Harbaugh will build Michigan into a power again, but he will push the limits of ethics & the NCAA in doing so. Michigan has come a long way since having a coach who fell asleep on a recruits couch

They do when harbaugh shows them the big 10 schedule vs. sec schedule. Easiest route to national champ is through big 10 right now. That may change soon but for now it's Michigan and Ohio state. One is practically a lock to play in playoffs.

Michigan has a very soft non-con schedule and only 4 away games. Unfortunately for them, 3 of those games are at Iowa, Michigan State. and Ohio State. Michigan loses two of those games. Life is a lot more difficult for Ohio State, who goes to Oklahoma, Penn State, Wisconsin, and Michigan State.

Not exactly true. Plenty of kids in Florida when they visit Northern schools and see snow for first time and wear jackets that you don't normally do in Florida really get off on this concept. Cool crisp fall weather and a Saturday game visit for a recruit is powerful, coming from a place that usually gets only two seasons, Hot and hotter.

Michigan puts in final Florida practice
    Angelique S. Chengelis, The Detroit News2:49 p.m. EST March 9, 2016
Bradenton, Fla. — Michigan will wrap up its final Florida-based spring practice this evening at IMG Academy, but almost certainly the debate regarding Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh's decision to bring his team south for spring break will continue.
Harbaugh said this week he doesn't care what others think of this plan. Michigan will have practiced four times here at the IMG Academy — a recruiting hotbed — before they leave for Ann Arbor on Saturday.
The players have said the trip was a great idea, a free spring break vacation with four days of four-hour practices. They have gone to the beach and a Tigers spring training game and they have participated in a number of non-football activities.
It's still too early to say who will be the starter at quarterback after less than a handful or practices, but The Detroit News will provide information from the final practice tonight via Twitter:
