this isn't high school or college football...this is the pro's....everyone is big, fast, and strong and for the most part equal...no such thing as an easy schedule...besides, the NFL is year to year league and very static meaning there are teams every year that do better than anticipated, teams that do worse than anticipated, and everyone else sandwiched in the middle.

We'll see how this 24th ranked passing offense plays against the #1 ranked passing defense. This is a very important stat for this game!

Denver is #1 regular season total defense.
Denver is #1 regular season passing.
Denver is #3 regular season rushing.

Cam is going to have problems passing and get very frustrated. As long as Denver comes to play (which they will), and be prepared (they are after their pathetic experience in the last visit to the super bowl) and plays a good clean game, I think Denver wins this game. They have a true leader and hall of fame quarterback, Manning. I am not worried about this team being nervous this time around. Carolina is the one in trouble and could get a "case of nerves". Cam will make mistakes in this game. Bank on it! Not to say Carolina won't get some defensive stops. Just not enough. They have a VERY overrated offense, good defense and have really only been tested playing good, quality teams a few times this season. Their luck and their defense has got them here.

Good luck with that "relatively easy" win. Vegas is not on your side (this is also telling). When the side looks so easy, beware. Along with a HUGE Carolina ML bet at William-Hill, I'm feeling pretty confident about vegas winning this one, with Denver covering and winning the super bowl that Manning deserves after his long career. Good luck!
give me an example of their "luck" getting them to 17-1?

So if New England won and was going to Super Bowl carolina would still be this heavily favored no I don't think so but it's because everyone thinks manning is washed up

He has one more game in him folks

    He's been saving it

    Square betting 101

Panthers Defense vs Broncos offense edge = Panthers

Broncos Defense vs Panther Offense edge = Even

So what does that mean, Panthers win

So far I haven't heard many sports radio and ex-NFL people on TV giving the Broncos a legitimate chance to win.

Carolina defense 19.3 vs Denver defense 18.5
7.5 pt favorite based on those stats alone

I think Manning will leave this game on a stretcher.
Carolina would score big on teams that caved in on def. Don't think it will happen with strong Denver pass coverage. Don't get me wrong, Panthers are a good team but people expecting a route will likely be disappointed. Superbowls end up being very close in this situation.

NOBODY I've heard on the radio is on Den, they all don't even see how it can be close. Only dude that is saying "wait a minute i smell something here" is cowherd. He hasn't made his pick but he is the only one i know (on the radio) that had Denver winning vs NE

It's going to be tough to get that line onto the 7. Many sharp groups will buy up to 6.5 and then stop. If it goes to 7, it won't be because of underdog support, it will be because that's the point in which large buys will stop being triggered.

It will also be tough to move onto that 7 because the jump from 6 to 6.5 will likely eat most of that sharp money. This could lead to a 7 point line right before kickoff, like Law said.

Lol, nice contribution, that's good stuff. Simply excellent insight.

Carolina's schedule was soft as fukk.

Broncos get to him early it's over. He will show us all his little kid antics with multiple INT's, fumbles, etc. if the game doesn't start out right for him. Denver is going to win this football game. @ 2:1 it's one of the best deals of the year.

Their soft schedule. The only teams that qualify as good this regular season that they beat was Green bay and Seattle. That's it! That's not impressive.

They lost to NINE teams games that have teams with a losing record. Their division was extremely weak this year. They were the only team in their division to have a winning record.

No. You can't score without LUCK and YPG (yards/gm). The defense of the other teams skews the pts scored. And, as I mentioned above, look who they have beaten. Almost all crappy teams with no defense.

I would assume after seeing Carolina defeat Seattle and Arizona the market/bettors are more confident backing them here so the early pressure is not really a surprise to me. They have gone 13-5 ATS IIRC so those that backed Carolina this year should be happy regardless of outcome. Having said all that if Denver hits 7 as Aye J said I think you have to bet that automatic.

C'mon, line should be -7 Panthers and getting them at -4 is theft. So long as we don't see any funny stuff from the zebras, the Panthers will easily roll. I give Denver a better chance to win with Osweiler than I do with Peyton.

when your defense is #1 in takeaways it cuts down on your offenses yards per game. Low yards per game and high points scored also means you are constantly winning the field position battle.

So far these numbers looks identical to the Broncos action in Superbowl 48, and every one knows what happened in that game. I'll give another update on Friday to see if the line moved much. So far all the money is on the Panthers which is in high 70's.

In the Patriots game the public action eventually dropped down to a low 70's and you know the rest.
Posted something like this in another thread. You cant ignore the fact that Carolina looks like a pretty obvious choice. That's what Vegas wants, they set this shit up so that in the biggest game of the year they get the highest flow of bets on one team and cash in HUGE. Denver will win the superbowl this year guys.

The other thing right now is the Media are hyping up the Panthers to death, it's almost like the media is working with Vegas to maximize the kill shot. Since I commute 30 minutes each way to work I listen to a lot of sport radio, so far I haven't heard anything favorable about the Broncos. It's basically the same BS they were saying when the Broncos were playing the Patriots which I think is a much better team then these Panthers.

Typical square betters. 18 posts in, let's see if he makes it to 50. Superbowls aren't "easy money" if the panthers were gonna roll like everyone seems to be thinking then Vegas wouldn't still be offering -220 ML.

Can anyone name one team the panthers beat that was actually playing good at the time?

    Banged up packers
    Inconsistent Seahawks x2
Carson can't win Palmer at home
The list goes on and on.. Peyton manning beat the packers at their peak this season (6-0? I believe) also beat the a healthy patriots team, A dangerous bengals team without their one dimensional qb.

why would anyone waste their time trying to convince you that a 17-1 team isnt a fluke. You have clearly made up your mind already. The "banged up" packers win came just a week after the Broncos beat them at their "peak."

If the line moves to +7 for the Broncos. I'm willing to take that bet.
Since most NFL games end at 3 points and 7 points most of the time.
