Elway was drafted by the Colts then went to the Broncos to retire after winning the Super Bowl.

I would like to personally thank Cam and his dred lock DB for not being able to control their emotions. Cam is a great guy. Wish it coould have worked out for him and his FOLLOWING. Looks like the team with the experience and discipline won yet another time. Just as in life the ONES that can't control themselves are going to lose most of the time. The 22nd ranked passing attack for the Black Panthers was unable to mount an offense. Cam's close to the bottom 3rd down conversion ratio during the regular season, didn't do any better. I will always remember Cam for his dancing, smiling and overall having a great time playin the sport he loves. Was a joy watching Cam in his MVP season and all the dancing and celebrating. Grits n gravy and all the rest of you sell outs-enjoy your losses!! Making BANK BABY!!! DAB, POINT, COUNT ONE,TWO,THREE SLIDE, JUMP and end it with a DOUBLE DAB!! Just being me DOG don't be bothered just a HONKIE enjoyin himself and experinecing what it is like to be a show boating focken dipshyt!! $$$$$$$

The streak continues. No NFL MVP has won the Super Bowl since Kurt Warner in 1999.

Strange But True: Teams wearing white have won 11 of the last 12 Super Bowls.

I have never seen that before. Looked bad.

he had a tough day. Sacked numerous times. He wanted it to be over with. He looks beaten even in the first half. Denver's D was too tough today. Even if he recovered it, they would have to punt.

Viewers watching the Super Bowl on Sunday noticed something interesting in the second half: Mike Carey was nowhere to be heard from.
Carey has been CBS’ version of Mike Pereira, a former referee brought in during the telecast to help provide more insight when officials review plays. Early in the game, he was brought in to share his analysis following a Carolina challenge on an incompletion.
On the Panthers’ second drive of the game, Cam Newton threw a pass on first down to Jerricho Cotchery that was ruled incomplete. The Panthers challenged. Carey watched a replay and shared his analysis, telling the millions of viewers that he thought the call would be overturned to a catch.
The officials did not see it that way and upheld their call on the field, making it second-and-10 for Carolina.
Later in the first half, Panthers head coach Ron Rivera decided to challenge another call. It was a simple call where Peyton Manning went down and later threw an incompletion. The ruling on the field was incompletion, but it was clear Manning had been down by contact. The officials reversed their decision and credited Carolina for a sack. It would have been the perfect opportunity to bring Carey in for an explanation and help him rebuild his confidence, but CBS did not bring him into the game.
After that, Carey was noticeably absent from the game.

There were other opportunities to bring Carey into the telecast and CBS declined to have him speak.
A week ahead of the Super Bowl, CBS’ chairman defended Carey saying he thinks he gets most of the calls right. In some ways that comment seems like one of those dreaded votes of confidence before someone gets fired. It’s clear CBS lost confidence in Carey and declined to use him for the rest of the game after he got the initial call wrong.

They didn't need any analysis on the other challenge and there were no further ones.

He got the first call right, refs got it wrong.

I'm not saying that he's right or wrong...they pay him money to be involved in questionable calls ...obviously they've decided that it's better not to ask him anymore questions after the first challenge

Carey is wrong more than any other analyst. It's gotten comical. Though I agree with his side today, it was a completed catch, he is still the worst
