Just can't picture him mixed up in something like this. He must have gotten blackmailed into it.

How did they think they'd get away with this though? And why would anyone give their PIN number - any casino I've been to makes you key it in?

Can't believe it went on for a year. Not like it's as big of a pond as CT's Mohegan. Must have let it continue to keep gathering evidence and frame them with even bigger charges.

According to prosecutors, Poszeluznyj would note down player’s loyalty cards and PIN numbers as she served them drinks, before passing them on to Pellegrini, who would create duplicate cards charged with free slot money.

I can guarantee the investigation went on for at least 6 months to ensure everyone involved got pinched. I'm sure a bunch of people in casino audit and accounting were questioned as well. That free play money still has to be accounted for on the books. Your boy is fuked.

This waitress must have been in bed with everyone to keep this going. I'm sure this will end up being a movie on the Lifetime network or something.

The only way I've been involved with Mohegan Sun has been risking lots at the place!

Bob was great with the comps back in 2000-2002 but I had to buy in for lots of dough to get them. This was back before they even had a hotel or the big arena - so they really gave out lots of other great comps to high stakes players.

I'd get calls from him all the time - invites to parties, ringside seats for fights, saw KISS farewell tour, big tournaments. Had thousands of points on my card. Was the good old days for me.

Yeah this was quite a routine they had going. Lots of articles are surfacing on it. They even knew where they were meeting to split up the cash.

Must have felt great to them when it was going on. And I'm sure they've all blown the money already.

I'm just surprised as Bob has been a VP in the business for so long now. He must have gotten great bonuses in all his years there. And everyone liked him a lot - I can only imagine other stunned reactions out there!

Not worth risking a six figure job over this. Can't stay under the radar forever in the casino world.

The prosecutors know they have a slam dunk conviction and/or plea here. Scams involving employee/s and customers happen far more often than they are reported by media. Vegas tends to keep them out of the press so not to give others ideas as well as to keep the public in the dark.

Last one I remember hitting news was a slot manager from Wynn stealing tax money from foreign slot jackpots. IRS, GCB and local police all got a piece of him. Even then it was just a little blurb buried under headlines.

    Tony Emmons was his name.

Yeah I'm sure it is not the first time a host tried something like this. Some have too much "discretionary" power with the comps. Even in the world where "everyone" is watched, I'm sure the "checks and balances" will be changing at Mohegan from this.

Read that the jail time would be 5-10 years per offense. And they've got lots of different offenses here!
