    Any fellow gold recoverers here?

Surely some of us have learnt the processes of how to recover gold and other precious metals from scrap, jewelery etc??

Interested in hearing who here has taken the gmable and does this for a living (as well as some gambling of course) or who gambles with this stuff on the markets??

Gotta a older/elderly gentleman in our neighborhood that collects scrap metal for a living. Can't work a full time job because his wife is sick. People in the neighborhood pretty much give him a call when we see people have discarded some type of metal in their garbage in front of the house. He recovers enough to pay his bills.

I scrapped about $5k worth of copper last year. Good for beer money and the occasional trip to Hustler Club.

I shouldn't be laughing at this because I unfortunately deal with it regularly.

you get close to the border and the grounding wires to the power lines mysteriously disappear...fairly common to see appliances and windows missing on unfinished homes as well....when I framed we would take the fork lift and put enough pressure on the stacks of plywood that the front wheels would be off the ground, nail the top 3 sheets together and still those bastards would find a way to get the plywood out...could have been half the crew who knows

Researched the subject and it's way too hard for the average person.

Will admit that yes its not easy to learn by any means but the rewards can be quite lucrative.

Guy gave me a dozen boards today from old devices, doesnt realise there's around 1/8 of an oz of 24k madness in all those suckers...

    This happens ALOT

Quick question for anyone that does recover and refine.

How many boards etc do you collate before commencing a recovery?

Granted the costs of recovering arent cheap so id imagine 1/8 oz min or so would have to be put together to make it worth the time and effort...
