    Where do we put the line - if you are determining the scientific line with your own skills and data available? How many points do you factor in for the home team? Do, we play value here - if any - or are there other factors the linesmakers are oblivious to. Let's assume the linesmakers tried hard to split the action with the number they chose?

    What makes no sense is that if 95% of the bets/volume are coming in on Seattle - why has the line stayed flat - barely moved? Do the bookies want one sided action on Seattle and they want to gamble on the Vikes - or is there money coming in on the Vikes and if so - from what source (pros-experts-every junket plane from Minnesota).

    Just for the sake of conversation. Guess who the # 1 rated team in the NFL is according to Jeff Sagarin's computer ranking. I know we could argue all day as to the scientific accuracy of this ranking but I think it is very interesting that :

    SEATTLE with their 10-6 record is rated #1 in the entire NFL.

    That being said The vikes are # 10 and Sagarin would put the line at 3 after applying 2 points for the home field advantage.

    So, is there a possibility the bookies think they are getting 2 points of value on all these Seattle bets???

    I don't think anyone is disrespecting the Seahawks. They're two time defending champs for a reason. I do think the Vikings are being under rated. Are those three players worth 30 points? They're awfully good... But other things led to that blowout. During that game Teddy threw a bad int before half and there was a questionable call or two...game over before half. Could that happen again? Possibly, but I do think this game will be competitive this time around.

    Marshawn Lynch is a no-go for the Seattle Seahawks this weekend.

    A source told ESPN's John Clayton that the running back will be downgraded to out after Lynch felt he could not go against the Minnesota Vikings following Friday's workout.

    Lynch did not travel with the team Friday night when it departed for Sunday's wild-card game at the Vikings.

    Lynch, who has not played since Week 10 against Arizona, is recovering from abdomen surgery that took place on Nov. 25.
