NOW is time to lay the road wood for GAME 3 with the Degrominator -130 LETS GO METS

Honestly, this line could drop, as morons have gotten buried on the cubs the first 2 games (and jays as well) and are in complete denial.

I dunno what else the Mets have to do to make believers out of everyone.

They have only beaten the top 3 Cy Young candidates (Kershaw, Grenke, and Arrieta) all in the last week!

    Game 3

    Mets and Degrom -130

Then break out the brooms for game 4.

Cubbies beat a 98 win team and a 100 win team

    They're not too shabby Benny

Mets aren't either. I'd like to see it go 7

Will be pounding the Mets whenever my local hangs a line. Major pitching mismatch and deGrom's stuff is ideal against a lineup like this; not worried about the semi-clunker he tossed against them back in May.

    7 what?
    Games?
If you think that you should go get some of the cubs +450 right now for the series (Mets -550).
You're a cubs fan, so I can't fault you for hope.

I dunno what leg the Cubs have to stand on right now. Their only hope looked like complete dog shit tonight.
Home runs don't win championships. Pitching does.
    Cubs offense looks dumbfounded.
Facing Degrom isn't gonna help them.

Hendricks is 2-0, 0.62 ERA vs. Mets

Cubs rocked deGrom twice this season

Cubs should get this one coming back home

Take a breather man, you've been in denial since the first pitch of game 1.
You should have taken my advice from your other thread when you were spouting off about the Cubs 7-0 regular season record vs. the MEts.
I warned you it was irrelevant and not to go busted betting those losers these first 2 games.
But yet you try and revert to Hendriks vs. the MEts again here haha.
    Cmon dude, just stop.
    Hendriks is fkn garbage.
Cubs only played the Mets in the first cpl months of the season.
This isn't some lucky fluke here. Mets are easily the better team.

Ya so as long as we are talking the first part of the season, let's keep going. The mighty Cubs 7-0 vs Mets in the regular season. That really helped them the first two games right? The problem with those stats are that was before the Mets added players and after that lead the NL in every major scoring category. When Hendrick posted those numbers against the Mets, they were in last place in about every offensive catergory. Obviously those games 4 months ago didn't really show up the past two days.

    I think OP is right.

Cubs are a better home team and there is an advantage more so at wriggly than some parks.

That said, Cubs pitching just doesn't match up to win this series with Arrieta losing. How could they win 4?

Mets get at least 1 here. Mets won't lose both at home even if Cubs get this back to NY, which I highly doubt that.

Sorry 2dbank but Cubs great run just ran into a better ball club.

As for beating Cardinals, they were injured and had no pitching.

Any pitching Matchup from here on in is going to be laughable unless Price is pitching vs. them.
Other than that, the Mets are in the best shape of the 4 teams right now.
I almost want the Cubs to win one in case the Royals-Jays go 7 games. But I don't see it happening.
The last thing I want with the Mets team is multiple days off.
Degrom and Harvey BOTH prefer to pitch on regular rest and HATE additional days off.
    I want them fresh.

    Good pitching beats good hitting.

Ancient baseball wisdom as true today as it ever was.

It's obnoxious for Cubs fans to think their team is cursed; they're losing because their pitching staff can't keep up with the Mets pitching.

And it only gets harder now as they have to take 4 out of 5 against DeGrom (twice), Matz, Harvey, and Syndegaard. WTF!

    Good luck Cubs.
