Philbin isn't the problem in Miami anymore than Charlie Strong is the problem at UT, both teams just don't know how to win, lot of bickering and anonymous gossip coming out of Dolphins locker room, shows there is a real lack of player leadership in Miami. Suh's contract hamstrung the team and now, predictably, he got paid and is underperforming. Making that kind of money, he should be a menace on the field and a captain off of it, but that didn't happen, unfortunately a white man will lose his job soon because of it.

Look, i'm the first to admit when it comes to the OKC Thunder, I put on the blinders like a true homer and refuse to think objectively.

Apparently, the same can be said for you with the Phins

Good luck! You'll see it a bit more clearly when you get your new coach and your team still sucks. But instead of just admitting that your team sucks, you'll blame the new coach too.

I know Zach's old agent who he dumped for Drew Rosenhaus once he became an NFL star.

Zach dumped him via midnight fax - 'effective immediately, you are no longer my representation' ... hearing that was when I realized that Zach Thomas is no dummy.

I don't know what the problem at Miami is (I suspect that half of it is the presence of Suh) but I can definitely tell you that Strong is a historic disaster at Texas. And he's not getting fired because he's black and it will absolutely get worse there.

They are friends. Only reason Philbin has lasted this long.

Dolphins would be kicking ass right now with a coach like Rex Ryan who would light a fire under their asses.

Sooo, let's keep a coach who we know is completely non head coaching material. Was never even a coordinator, jumped from position coach to head coach and in over his head after 3+yrs in this job which does not make you a new head coach by any standard. Let's keep him, by your logic, because the team sucks and will always suck.

True about the friends part but Miami has NO NFL caliber starting guards and is short at least 1 starting LB and CB Rex would have trouble doing anything with this mess too. Philbin knew what spots he needed filled and didn't fill them before the season started so he should be fired.

Buffalo played better defense last year and all Rex said before this season was how much better Buffalo's defense would be.

I think his best days at Buffalo are behind him. Really dumb hire.

Apparently Tannehill has been mouthing off to teammates and lost some respect in the locker room too. Franchise is in trouble.

I highly doubt that, Tannehill is to much of a sissy to say anything. But I couldn't be happier about this firing it just happened 2 years to late.

CBS Sports and a few others posted the info as well. Who knows other than those involved I guess.

Yeah I like it as well, players will play hard for him. Hopefully during the offseason we get better LB's, another corner to replace HS level talent McCain, and another threat on offense who has the winning mentality like Landry.

Haha ESPN making fun of philbin saying that was the easiest firing, at least they don't have to worry about ole wimpy philbin putting up a fight or being violent. Most boring coach ever in the NFL

Now fire Coyle. I never understood hiring Philbin because Bowles had the team playing hard when we fired Sporano. We were in every single game that year that Bowles was the intern. Coyle needs to be fired and fired ASAP. You don't bring in a guy like Suh and have a guy coaching the D who Suh doesn't want to play for who has run the same awful defensive schemes every single week. This all started when we blew the 17 point 4 quarter lead in Denver and every single team since has been cramming the ball down our throat like a Jenna Jamsion porno

They need to just fire Al Golden now and life will be good in Miami.
