Uber bicycles all over downtown San Diego. You can take them from bar to bar. Better than walking.

Took uber once and the driver wanted to play tap rooster with me. penetrate that. I will take my chances with the muslem driver who's car smells like he has a wet dog in the trunk.

I'm signed up to be a driver on there, I've did 1 ride since I joined it 2 months ago. Made $5 for 10 minutes of my time. I figure when the prices are doubled and tripled during bar hours people stand to make $25-$35 an hour.

I'll have to do another one soon or they'll shut my shit off, but it's not a bad thing to have as an emergency way to come up with some cash.. for instance, owe a bookie? Get paid while you hightail it out of there for a bit

Once a month, I'm assuming.. last time I did it was August 24th. Took them 6 weeks to approve me with nothing on my record, not even a speeding ticket

My neighbor says he does about 30 hours a week for $800 to $1000 and spends about $150 week in gas. He's a pest control guy and does it between jobs.

Says he pays almost no income tax on it after deductions and it allows him to offset his wife's car lease payments too.

Not mine. From a friend, he shares his earnings on Facebook every week. Makes a killing, often 1K weeks, part time. He knows when & where to be.

Every market is different. Vegas is new so it would be great to get going there right now. $1.85/mile, won't last long, Uber will have the market flooded w/ drivers in 1 years time.. then slash the rates in half like they do in every city.

What's interesting about Vegas is drivers might actually get some good tips (from the winners). Sadly Uber preaches tipping is not necessary, it pisses drivers off to no end. I know a chick that picked up a San Diego Charger just this week and got nothing.

I tried Uber out for about a dozen trips as a driver, it's not for me. I belong in the backseat

Uber is all fun and games until some d-bag pukes in your back seat. In the Phx area, you have no idea where you are going until the driver physically picks you up. Every driver I have had lived in the West Valley and end up in the East Valley. They drive around and hope to get a fare going back close to where they live. Seems like a pain + you could have a 40 min - an hour ride back home where you are making zero money. If you pick up a fare, you could end up farther and farther from home. Uber X just reduced their per mile rate in Phx. The whole, you're not supposed to tip, but you should tip business model is BS as well.

Its garbage in most areas..its great for the customer but horrible for driver

you have no idea where your going which makes it suck as far as the driver..so many fares like $5 and you use 30 minutes of your time and gas

Whenever I request an Uber I always put in my destination. I thought the drivers could see that before accepting. They cant?

Nope. The drivers I have had said they don't get the destination until they actually click that their passenger is physically in the car. Keeps drivers from cherry picking routes.
