    Cautionary SBR Vegas Tale

    Well some SBR folks finally met up in time for the afternoon games for NFL week 1. Some SBR folks said let's all throw in 20 bucks and do a group parlay.

    Downsouth said he liked the Bronos and the Cardinals earlier to the group so he really gets credit for those picks (happy now pal?).

    Downsouths lil bro leads with the Broncos
    VegasVixen takes the Cardinals
    Tatddy wants Tennessee ML but Downsouth is putting the parlay in and is a nit so he books TEN +3
    Kidkonggolf couldn't be happier to put in the Raiders +3. It's his bday so we don't wanna bully him out of a pick.
    Since Downsouth's picks were taken he puts in DAL/NYG over 52.5

    DS is ready to take the parlay to the window. I say quietly "cmon bro get the Raiders out of there our bday boy is special and all but we're getting mushed". DS replies "I know I have a bet on the Bengals". But it's his bday so whatever and it's 20 bucks right?

    Fast forward to all of us sitting at different poker tables at the MGM and a dramatic ROAR from the Casino crowd fills the room as Dallas scores the final TD to win the game and....make the over.

    So thanks, kidkonggolf for denying us the sheer elation and drunken celebration as we dramatically cashed our parlay.

    You forgot to mention the part about when Birthday Boy realized he was buried on his own Raiders ticket he had the chase 2nd half Raiders for like $5k to dig himself out. The man was sweating...for realz.

    So far after two days I haven't won one freakin sports bet placed in Vegas but, I've felted many poker players

    Was a blast. Great group and everyone seemed to do well. Was nice having to go back to room during the day to unload cash as wad was too big for wallet/pocket.

    Will have to do it again next year, same weekend.
