Tell me what you know about Temple football. Can they beat Penn State str8 up?
I met a guy who seemed to know what he is talking about at the bar tonight.
He said take Temple ML against Penn State in the opener.
Doesnt Penn State have a stud QB?
this advice was surprisingly to me as i have never known Temple to be good at football.

I'm not the biggest fan of Hackenberg, at least not as of yet. He has a lot of improving to do in order for me to see him as one of college football's better QBs. Temple has a strong defense and QB PJ Walker was an up-and-coming star his freshman year but regressed a season ago. If he comes back around, they could have a really nice team on their hands.
+7 for me.
Dangerous game! No preseason to get a feel for what each team has, it's played in Philly, both teams have a chip on their shoulder, I'm taking the points or staying away.

Wouldn't take the Barn Owls without getting maximum plus points. Anything can happen in a college opener....anything can happen at the Penn State shower room as well.
hackenberg will be a first round pick in the NFL draft if he decides to come out after this year...not his fault he had one of the worst lines in college football last year and was constantly getting hit and sacked......don't kid yourself, hackenberg is every bit as good as any other QB in the country and even the NFL pro scouts and GM's will tell you that...besides this is coach James Franklin's second year and he's a winner, good damn recruiter, and can coach with the best of them...anytime you can lead Vanderbilt to back to back 9 - 4 seasons and consecutive bowl victories and not to mention competitive in the SEC, you know you've done one hell of a job...Penn ST is my dark horse this year in the Big 10...you heard it here first....they should win this game comfortably similar to last years 30 - 13 drubbing...
Bet the under. Scores will be a bunch of field goals. Both great defenses. 16-13 or something.
Probably shouldn't be betting cfb if you don't know PSU's QB.
Temple has a ton of returning starters. 100% of the reason PSU sucked last year was because of the OL. The OL will now be returning 4/5 starters.
2 starters were converted DL playing OL for the first year (both started at different times). 2 were freshman that had no business playing. One guy had to play every position at times last year. And this is a team that should've beaten OSU in OT if not for the refs. They "missed" TWO big calls that gave OSU the game and they pretty much came out and admitted that a couple weeks ago.

Yeah, let's not talk about week 1 games two weeks before the season starts.
No, baseball season is over for bettors. CFB season started a week ago when camp started. That means bettors should've started their research, you should try it sometime.
PSU is DEEP at every position on O except the OL. I wouldn't be getting under happy because of LY. We just have no idea of knowing how the OL will look. IF they're average, the O will be explosive. Average is a few steps up from LY though.

If Penn State (and OSU) does its part by going undefeated into that game, it would be the highest profile Big 10 matchup in a long, long time.

I can't stress the OL enough. If it's average, PSU has as good or better skill players as OSU. PSU's D is better.
Now that said, it's in OSU and OSU is deeper overall. I really hope you don't take this as homer, but PSU is deeper at rb, wr, and te. OSU is obviously the overall deeper team though. They're both undefeated going in, OSU is probably -10.
Hack is going to put up ridiculous stats this year and go #1, I know that much.

My sheets have Temple winning if you give them full home-field advantage. But considering Temple plays in an NFL stadium, and Penn State fans will outnumber Temple fans and will have the crowd, I am not sure they will have full home-field advantage. Call it a neutral site, and Penn State is a small winner.
Wait for the public to push the line to +7.5 and play Temple. Their defense is solid
Total is 39 and I still think the under will be a good play too.
