I got Bron just for because he is the more pure athlete, but Byrd was a better shooter.

If you guys really want it from the SOURCE aka someone very close to LB.. he states "A. they should've used a better pic of me" "B. You can't compare him to LBJ because theres two different types of players that come from completely different times. Basketball is nothing like it was back then." "C. He cannot stand Lebron."

So why didn't everyone on Larry birds team have the same scoring stats, or better? It doesn't make sense that your scoring increases..take a look at kevin love, or Chris bosh

Bird is probably the 9th best player ever. I've got Lebron 12th but he could move up.

a lot of moroning going on up in here.

You can't compare athleticism from different decades, the advances in modern science and training have come a long way. If Bird played today he might be able to dunk, if LBJ played then he might look more like Magic (magic was no slouch physically but compare him to LBJ).

To say LBJ in Bird's body yada yada Bird was a better shooter because he had to be, LBJ has other tools which are more efficient than outside jumpers (like dunking).

Comparing them both at 30 is beyond stupid. 1st, it is LBJ's 12th season, Bird's 8th. LBJ switched teams, was injured most the season and dealt with huge roster changes.

    USG% 27.5 vs 32.3
Look at by possession and per 36 and the numbers aren't nearly so clear cut.

but I guess the meme is winning because it got of people to misinterpret 2 seasons and throw shade at a player people don't like.

Bird is under-rated as a player because of the talent that played during his era

only HOF player that might be more "under-rated" and under appreciated is Moses Malone

Bird is also the most over-rated SHOOTER of all time. He actually was not a great pure 3 point shooter in game situations

part of that is because in that ERA it was brand new and they didn't run plays to get guys open, and offenses were run in a different way. Bird spent his life learning how to find easy open 2 point shots for himself and his teamates NEAR the hoop, not 23 feet away.

So bird had 4.5 minutes more a game to be used 5% less, whos argument do you think that helps?

Or do you think that mpg is end all be all of stats defining worth?

    *Larry Birds ONLY 10 Dunks

In transit will watch in home.

For the record i was being sarcastic but we cant compare them physically or even as if they playes the same game was my point.

Anyone who takes Bird over LBJ is a poor GM but isnt making that big of a mistake in the game either.

YOLO watched it on my prepaid, i have seen that before and 4 of those are the exact same dunk but impressive none the less for a man whos vertical is his height plus a dictionary.

More jesting I reiterate, Bird is awesome, LBJ is more awesomer and those 30 year old stats are hand picked in Birds favor and still had to be skewed. How many seasons does Bird have that would beat LBJs 3rd worst?

Edit LBJ has 2 seasons UNDER a 25 PER...Bird has 4 seasons OVER.

not even sure how to answer your ridiculous questions but lebron would have a significantly better PER than bird if he had the extra 4.5 minutes.

2 of the best of all time. Both guys were tops in their eras and each have always been very complimentary when asked about each other.
