Anybody taking the St Louis Cardinals to win the World Series????

Mike Matheny is def the best coach in baseball and this team has no weakness.

it's basically the only team in the NL that doesn't have a weak 7th and 8th hitter.

    Bullpen is top notch.

    This team does it all.

6 to 1 seems like a gift with the Nationals injuries and the way they own the Dodgers.

Mets can't hit. Great pitchers but you need hitters that at least can play small ball and they can't even do that

They win in playoffs when they're not as good.

Plus, starting pitching not quite as top-notch.

Dodgers will be tough when they can trot out Greinke and Kershaw.

Al I think it's royals or Yankees. angels i think will falter just like last year and the astros are not winning it playing long ball. nl I think is more open stl, Pitt, San Fran. The dodgers always struggle to produce in the postseason and until kershaw really learns how to pitch when it counts they can't win big games. Nats need better producers then just Harper. Werth is a big gap they are missing.

Taking a WS winner future bet seems like a waste of money.

So many things could happen between now and then. They could totally collapse in the last 60 games of the season.

Seems very unlikely and he could be rusty as hell. Not easy to do.

I never understood this either, the odds are not nearly good enough for this kind of risk, I never consider these futures bets

Got em at 12-1 early April.
There is something about Rosenthal that scares me though.
How do you sit Grichuk when Jay comes back? Nice luxury to have.

I put in bet for Cards to win NL at +650 after first 15 games.
That would be huge to get that win.
Also bet Royals +650 to win AL...either win would work...since not much else on mlb is going right for me.

unless ofcourse if the Cardinals win.

there is no value on taking a long shot when you have teams as good as the Cardinals.

I mean its night and day difference in talent.

you are beyond help kid. the outcome does not justify the action. taking a team at their highest point when odds the worst is never a smart bet whether they win or not. you are not getting proper return on there real chances. 10 teams make it., cards and gmen go out of their way to prove how random the playoffs are, both winning when in fact they wernt the best team all season and in cards case not winning when they are.

ive went over this so many times. last thread that was created bout cards after their unreal start i said then the pirates would have been a great bet as they were still playing putrid, not understanding why you cant grasp this concept? in a season with as many ebs and flows as mlb there really never any reason to be taking the worst odds on the best team. start fishing for teams you think are primed for a run and one of the playoff spots. or a banged up team like nats if there value down till players return.

we all know based off your post the only way you ven have a grand is if a relative died or something.. funny how immensely stupid you are though, thanks for the laugh dip shit. some ppl prefer their risk to be calculated giving themselves a better chance at success,. others like you like pissing away your welfare check.

    << leaning card's

edit for content: didn't put a damn dime on it and wouldn't, though. Just a personal lean. No feelings towards their current w/l history factors into my lean, which is not even a big one.

I mentally bet the Cardinals to win because vegas said they would but I posted the LAD like a true rebel. As far as actual betting I took Baltimore and Bloof Jays.

Would never bet the team doing best now. Take one of the longer shots that has a wild card shot. Better value.

Best bets as of now are Stros and angels in al.

In nl it's pirates and giants.

Have to agree 6 to 1 on Cardinals isn't good value. My preseason futures were on the Rays to win the AL pennant at 45 to 1 which doesn't look to good with there weak offense. Also grabbed the Cards 15 to 1 to win the series.

the Giants absolutely own the Cardinals in the nastiest way possible, so the Cards have zero shot if the Giants get in. i don't care if the Giants have to throw Bumgarner in a wild card tiebreaker and then immediately face the Cards, the Cards still wouldn't be able to get it done.

Keep betting Cards to win home series...and on good spots on the road...especially after a loss.
