Zack Greinke is one of the best pitchers in the NL right now

I will post his INCREDIBLE stats in the next post. I am sure that some consider Scherzer to be better, but his numbers are not exactly better than Greinke's. If Greinke could start on a team that could score runs, he might be 10-0 now.

For some reason, the Dodgers just DO NOT score many runs when he starts!! Greinke's ERA for the year is 1.70!!! In his last 3 starts he has an ERA of .86, yet has a record of 0-1 during those 3 games!!

Overall for the season, his record is 5-2 with an ERA of 1.70. The teams record in his starts is 9-6.

More importantly, EVERY START this season he has pitched at least 6 full innings and most times 7 complete innings! Not too many pitchers can say that they have 15 starts in a row where they pitched at LEAST 6 full innings, well at least in the NL where pitchers bat. American League pitchers of course would pitch more innings than an NL pitcher does.

In his last 10 starts, he has given up 1 or fewer earned runs in 8 of those starts and gave up only 2 runs once but he pitched 8 full innings in that start. But talk about some bad luck, he has either gotten a NO DECISION or a loss in his last 9 starts! And keep in mind that in most of those starts he gave up 1 earned run!

    Top 3?!?!

He is without question the best pitcher in the NL this year. He is going to opt out of his player option for next year and sign another huge mega deal.

Guy has been stuck on 5 wins for his last 9 fuckin starts despite a ridiculous 1.7 era and an absolutely stupid WHIP of .9

    reminds me of Nolan Ryan

In 1987, Nolan led the Major Leagues in ERA with a 2.80 ERA and led the Major Leagues with 270 Strikeouts but had a record of 8-16

Archie this data seems weird to say the least. Where did you pull this from?

Greinke does not have the highest WAR on his own team and he is actually 6th in the National League.

Oh I never said he is not great, he is indeed one of the best pitchers in baseball. I was only disputing him being second in the NL in WAR.
