Does Anyone Know How Kershaw Has Any Shot At Cubs Tonight?

Guy is a roll the dice type pitcher now

No more automatics like he use to be

    Decent Cubs hitting team also

    i wouldnt touch that game.

long travel after a night game for the Dodgers. Kershaw has become a "just give me a pay check" type pitcher

    and Cubs are red hot.

Dodgers are an abysmal road team.

But i just dont trust Japanese pitchers so i can't back the Cubbies.

Kris Bryant struck out 3 times yesterday so the pressure may be getting to him.

lol everyone has turned on arguably the best pitcher of the last couple years because of a few bad outings.

Better question is - does Correia stand a chance tonight at Yankees?

Pound Yankees run-line -1.5 or even -2.5. Correia no chance tonight. GL.

how about how he single handedly cost the Dodgers a chance to play for the World Series last year?

he has become the Peyton Manning of MLB

Hm, I think Mattingly has cost the Dodgers the possible run to the WS. He left Kershaw in for too long.

It's normal after he signed a big contract. That usually happens in every team sport. People have to take this into consideration but they don't.
I think he still great (lookng at his stats) but when you compare his statistics with last year than I can understand your concern that he is not great anymore. What I am saying is that he was on a whole new level last season and everyone expect this season to be like 2014.

But I have to agree since Kershaw and the Dodgers are on the road I would say stay away from taking the Dodgers in this spot. Cubs +ML is worth the shot. But I expect maybe a small line shift towards Cubs, better take Cubs now than later

You guys talk like Kershaw has been a disaster. Last 4 starts:

    3-0 (Dodgers 4-0)
    28.2 innings (7+ avg)
    3 earned runs (0.94 ERA)
    14 hits & 6 walks (0.698 WHIP)
    39 strikeouts (12.25 per 9 IP)

Kershaw is the hottest pitcher in the league in the last month.

Not saying Dodgers will win, but WTF are you guys talking about?

Also, the game is pretty iffy. Bad weather coming in to Chicago, as per usual. Maybe a DH tomorrow?

i think we all respect Kershaw and we know what he is capable of.

The thing about it is he has set the bar so high with how dominant he used to be in years past.

So i think people hold Kershaw to a higher standard and he just been the same Kershaw that we are all used to witnessing.

Btw the most dominant pitcher this past month is Max Scherezer ... hands down. He has been unbelievable in his last few starts.

People used to knock Scherezer for not going deep into games but he has really turned the corner.

OK, yes, I stand corrected. I'm just saying that after a rough start, Kershaw has been pretty dominant for the last month.

depends on the lineup if they throw that lineup out from yesterday then all systems go... puig leading off turner batting 3rd Gurrerro in left whole lineup can hit even rollins came alive because why not everybody else can hit 16 hits 10 runs but you watch you'll probably never see that lineup again Donny is so smart.

Kershaw, second in the majors with 122 strikeouts, now has an opportunity to become the first Dodger since Hideo Nomo (1995) to record at least 10 ks in four consecutive starts.

That appears to be a real possibility facing a Chicago team that has an NL-worst 637 strikeouts.---Stolen from ESPN app

    Dodgers -1.5 -115

    Angels -1.5 +165
Houston's pitcher doesnt do well V L.A. posting 7.02 era while losing his last 3 meetings with the angels. LAA's Santiago isn't much better with a 5.30 ERA in 4 career outings against HOU. Santiago however has allowed 2 runs or less in 6/8 home starts...

Guy already has more losses than all of last year, given up same amount of homers already, and only 8 walks away from matching last year total. If they reach postseason I think he's gonna blow up again, think when the going gets tough he checks out, mentally on the weak side.

First of all, Max could always go the distance. That "loser" Leyland had a bad habit of taking out his starters, other than his boy Verlander, is the 6th or 7 th. Then he would go to that "disaster" he called a bull pen. LOL. Not Max's fault, or Sanchez, Porcello & Fister etc. , Glad he is gone. He retired OK, I am sure it was unanimous, retire or get fired. LOL.

I think Clayton is a gamer and is at times worth laying the juice on. Mentally he does beat himself up from time to time but when he is on, it is a thing of beauty.

People may lie but numbers don't.

and the facts say that Max prior to the 2015 season had never pitched a complete game before. Now he has thrown 2 complete games in as many outings and even said he knew his dad was in the stands this weekend so he wanted to give him a No hitter for Fathers Day.

Guy is on fire right now. He is calling his shots.

    It's not Wacha V Phillies...

Its Kershaw V the Red, White, n Blue Strikeouts... Kershaw that DD strikeout work tonight. I see a 7-2 type a game, 1 earned run from Kershaw and 1 from the pen. Cubbies are a good shot tonight I get it... But if Cubs played 10 games V Ace pitchers home or away Cubs might get MIGHT get 3 wins.
