What is the opinion on Aria in Vegas

Going to be in Vegas for a week in Oct., the wifes company pays the way, we can stay at any MGM property we want. We have done the Bellagio, Mirage and MGM before, but have not tried the Aria, it looks nice but 1st hand experience/comments would be appreciated.

    Very true.

Stayed in a top floor suite - 3 bedrooms 3 bath, full kitchen, huge living room, floor to ceiling windows with automatic shades, all the amenities. Pricey but very very nice.

Oh and Aria is in a perfect central location on the strip. Connected to Vdara, Bellagio, City Center...

Aria is top shelf. Sports book is underrated. Grab a couch and you are set.

MGM is officially trash. Poor people and illegals everywhere. Sportsbook is in a terrible location. Constant walk through traffic.

I'll be staying in the Aria Sky Suites starting Wednesday night.

I stayed at Aria almost 3 years ago in the regular rooms. Nice rooms, above average Vegas pool (Wynn has a better pool). Aria has great restaurants. Jean George's for steak. Tetsu.

Nice sportsbook too. Spa was a little bit of a letdown for such a new, high end property.

Were you there during fight night or something? I was there last night, and didn't see any of that. Younger, party crowd, and just a bunch of regular people. I'm still a pretty big fan of MGM Grand. Sportsbook has always sucked, but that's been a given for awhile now.

Yeah about only one worse than MGM is the little hole in the wall at NYNY.

Liquid Pool looks great there. Would be nice checking that out.

Phil Hellmuth constantly plugs Aria's poker and plays in tourneys there - even smaller ones.

Wynn is a bad location. Aria being dead square in the city center in the middle of the strip is very important in my choice. But I agree Wynn is nice and has some great eye candy.

Yeah, fight night during the summer which brought the Brazilians and the normal Affliction types which is to be expected. Was there the entire weekend though and there was trashy people all over the casino. Nasty chicks. I'd rather hang at Aria, Bellagio, or the Mirage in that order for an MGM property. Just a personal preference I guess.

Downtown is the only way to go.
    Strip is overrated.
Jr suite in the Rush Tower at The Nugget with pool view. Breakfast at that 24hr diner in the Californian.
Watching free Freemont Street performers with drink in hand and the ability to walk from one casino to another in less than 10 seconds is a great feeling.
The girls on the tables at The D, the strip clubs close by. It's true Vegas down there.

Thanks guys with such good reviews we are going to try the Aria this Oct. This is a business trip for the wife so I got all week during the daytime to do my thing at any place I want. Its more important for the wife to be happy with the hotel than me on these kind of trips, she is the one having business meetings during the daytime and she likes a nice place to unwind at night. .Looking forward to this trip to Vegas, since we will be arriving the day before the World Series begins and again thanks for all the replies.

ahhh man i couldn't disagree more.

i love the Wynns location. They got a bad ass golf course in the back.

Also right across the street from the mall and 2 good happy hours El Segundo and RA Sushi.

The wynn has the most comfortable toilet seats ever and they have curtains that draw back on remote control.

I stayed at the Signature at MGM this week, highly recommend it. Not a fan of going through a casino to get to a room and I like it had a private gated entrance. Definitely my go-to spot for a room now.
