It Looks Like Kyrie Irving Will Be Good To Go in Game 1 Wednesday

But he will not be at 100%.

Updating a previous item, Kyrie Irving (knee) went through practice on Monday and vowed to play in Game 1.

Coach David Blatt said he was "encouraged" by Kyrie's participation, and this is a much more optimistic take ahead of Wednesday's Game 1 than was being presented at any point over the weekend. We expect Irving to be in his usual place in the starting lineup, but he won't be 100 percent healthy.

Hawks win tonight. Kyrie won be close to being effective in this series. He was a shell of himself in the bulls series.

ATL beat CLE 3-1 in regular season, but that was not the Cleveland we're talking about now.

One of those games was without LeBron, 3 of them were before they got Mozgov or JR Smith or Shumpert.

Regular season results mean very little one playoffs start regardless of the matchup.

What does 100% healthy even mean? How many players are actually fully healthy right now?

I get that he might be banged up but if you're in the lineup I don't want to be constantly hearing about what percentage you're at.

Nearly a week of rest and treatment will be a huge help.

I like Cleveland chance with their role players going well right now. Just having Irving will take pressure off LEbron

If hawks lose to cleveland it's an embarassment. Bulls had no offense and bad coaching. Hawks should get to reg season form here. Cavs have no business being favored.

Ridiculous. Cavaliers are a strong favorite to scrunch this Atlanta team.
    Chicago would have beaten Atlanta.

Cleveland is the dog tomorrow, or are u talking about series price?

Either way, ATL is banged up too. As twizzler said, nobody is really 100% healthy right now.

Cleve cannot come out flat in game 1

Atlanta can blow you out in a hurry with pretty decent defense

maybe a game here and there, but not two more series. they need Irving badly. LeBron is wearing down a lot faster than in the past, as he's racked-up a crazy amount of playoff games over the last 4-5 seasons now.

I doubt James would be that effective

Green might be most underrated player in NBA

Nba helped cavs by giving them lots of time off

    Rockets had one day off

    How many did Cleveland have?

the scheduling was pre-set like that brah. They got a ton of time off because they won in 6 as the "early"/day 1 set of games (clips-rockets and cavs-bulls) while the Rockets went to game 7 (which was already going to be on 2 days of rest instead of 1)

Plus the Hawks played the day AFTER the Cavs so you need to give them time off too.

Irving was a nonfactor they don't even need them this series… I would sit him and give him a long rest for the finals

Cavs only had one more day off than Hawks did so it was fair in regards to this series. Schedules were set once the Conference semifinal series all reached Game 6s.
