Stros -1 or better yet TT over 4 1/2 seems good. They've been crushing the ball lately.....lots of home runs.

Not true at all, value is defined as a team having a better chance to win than the odds it is offered at, even favorites can have value sometimes. In this specific case, I have Texas winning this game close to 40% of the time, which is +150, so +177 is value.

They weren't that bad last year. They had a terrible bullpen that coughed up leads. This year, their hitting and bullpen have both improved.
I wonder what people see in the Rangers to bet them at this spot. If you don't like Houston at their current price you simply pass. The price is that steep for a reason.

Great day in Houston today. We have the Rockets playing tonight and the Astros just down the street on a 10 game winning streak.

Only angle I can think of is letdown situation. Astros playing a last place team that clearly sucks, and may take the game for granted?

If Keuchel weren't pitching I'd look at Texas, but the Rangers have never been able to hit him even when he was a rookie pitching against those stacked Rangers lineups a few years ago.

Yes, and can we talk about the MVP voting going back to the old format where the players voted instead of the dam media. We should have and MVP in football and in basketball..smh

Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and Anthony Davis all said Harden is the MVP. Many other NBA players have said this as well. ESPN blows curry to no end.

Well, the streak stops at 10. But so far teams that have won 10 games in a row end up in the Postseason.

yea, lucky streak over, can't wait till their 500 at the all star break and finish under 500 on the year, but hey at least they made it seem like they were good.

You can't wait? They're a young and up and coming team with one of the best farm systems in the league. The Astros will only get better. Rangers are last place in the AL West and they will stay there all season long. Let's see your shitty Rangers try and win 10 games in a row and then come back and talk to me chump.

As a Rangers fan from 2004-2009 it seemed like every season the Rangers would start off hot and either be in 1st place at the All-Star Break or right in the mix.

Then in the 2nd half of the season the wheels would come off and the team would fade and not even finish over .500.

The Astros aren't there yet and will fade eventually.
So what you're saying is it's not in the script for them to keep doing good...

Don't need superstars. Remember Scutaro in '12 for example.
this clown thought acquiring scrubs that are hitting below .250 and putting them in the meat of their lineup was the reason why the astros were winning.

The Astros have a wealth of good young pitchers in the starting rotation and in the minors.

I 100% agree. I only bet on them when Buerhle pitches. Hope they fire the manager after they get swept by the Astros.

Astros lead the American League in home runs. Have 10 more than the 2nd best team. Makes for a lot of clutch hitting.

The Cubs and Astros both strike out a shit ton, yet it doesn't seem to affect their W/L record. That's typically not the case.

Luhnow is pretty much of the philosophy that an out is an out. They have enough speedsters to steal bases if they get the K, and have the right guy on base. Has been working so far on the offensive side.

They have seven guys in their lineup batting under .235 -- including four under .194 -- yet they're 24-13. Not sure I've ever seen that in 30+ years of following MLB.

    5 straight wins.

If Cards lose tonight the Astros will have the best record in baseball.
