The officiating in this game was as bad as the NBA. Only chance Mich St had was when that foul was called against them which shouldn't have been called and ended the game right there when they were down by 13 on a 7-0 run. Isn't the officiating supposed to be better in the tournament? WTF

College basketball would become 10x better if they just did this:

Increase player fouls from 5 to 6. So tired of watching stars pick up 2 fouls in the first half and have to sit, or a guy pick up his third foul early in the second half. Nobody wants to watch good players sit with fouls.

Decrease shot clock to 25-30 second range

Widen the lane and move the three-point line back.

Allow teams to advance the ball in the final 5 minutes to the front court. It would make the sport so much more exciting. In NBA, all you need is 0.5 seconds and a timeout to have a chance. In college, you are screwed if you have under 4 seconds and have to go the length of the court.

A lot of shit needs to be fixed with the college game.

I watched a game in this tourney when OU had a 1 minute 45 second possession and only took one shot! The shot clock resets on fouls and is too damn long to begin with.

Refs call tick tack fouls.

Get rid of the 1 and 1 also. Just make it two shots. That's a retarded rule.

Also, there is no continuation in NCAA. It's boring.

They aren't even that good. Good job UK, you guys went undefeated in a below average conference in a very down year for college basketball. If they played in the Big East, Big 12. ACC. Big 10 they would have lost at least 2-3 times, probably more.

Hard to argue, getting that first loss "out of the way" can help come championship time, whether conference tourney or NCAA's.

I said that same thing all season long, they would have been better off losing a game. All the record does is add pressure. Same thing with the Patriots when they were undefeated and lost to NYG in the superbowl.

Too much money on the line to have lame duck refs officiating. NCAA should borrow NBA refs for the Final Four. College refs need to get paid more so that they can be full time first. Then they need to be held accountable for mistakes second. Then they need to be able to review any call at any time. The game is too fast for anyone to get correct all the time. Review fouls, charges, goal tending, etc. They have dozen of camera's and a shit load of commercials. Just review it during commercial breaks and change the calls when necessary.

I agree with KRIT on his points, especially the shot clock. Change the game because college basketball has gotten boring as shit. I don't ever watch the regular season and I only saw a few games in the tourney. Too frustrating with so much stop, go, foul, stop, go, foul, commercial, commercial, commercial.
