Golf tourney futures are always awesome. Love the odds.

Spieth should have a good week.

Golf is even less watched in United States than hockey now

It's a non-sport without woods and plus way too much parity as new names win every week

Hate these short prices to win---squashes a lot of hedge opportunities.

I avoided the future bets, but liked a few match-ups. Posted these elsewhere.

Dustin Johnson -105 vs. Reed x 3 units
Kevin Na -135 vs Billy Horschel x 1.5 units
J.B Holmes +105 vs. Graham DeLaet risk 1.5 units
Michael Putnam -135 vs. j.j henry 1 unit

Oh, and gl Tham. Good to see you starting weekly pga threads.

Weather should be nice, but should it get windy--always a possibility, I have some low
trajectory guys that may provide for a few match up edges.

money doesnt mean anything to guys like Roy McElroy.

if pebble beach is such an important tournament how come all the best European players dont play?

6.8 million doesnt justify the travel?

fact is this tournament is not that important.

Not anywhere near the importance of the Masters.

Naturally many of these golfers dont take it as seriously and dont prepare the same way they would for a major and they are not as focused.

One of my draft king teams is looking solid:

    Furyk
    Snedeker
    Putnam
    Noh
    Palmer
    Streelman

    sitting in 215/4200

in 93rd place in another tourney with this lineup.

Hindsight is only 50/50. Wishing I could have, should have with a couple of these guys.

One name not mentioned in this thread was Billy Horschel. I don't buy that Snedeker is winning this and Horschel, currently 5 back and tied for 23rd, is poised to make a run. He might be a good 3rd round match-up or a maybe a good Top five or 10 bet.

The danger with Horschel in a match-up is that he could be paired with another player set to make a run. I see a risk of a tie...the line has to very good to get it.

    It's incredible parity

Parity or not JJ it's about the marketplace you are betting into and less about the sport. Believe it or not JJ, there is a way to handicap golf. Believe it or not JJ, Vegas sets a line on golf. The key isn't to always get the winner, the key is to be more informed and to make better decisions than the other players in the marketplace.

Like all the markets, golf takes patience, discipline, and awareness in order to win.
