One of the workers told the driver he captured the whole exchange on video. The clip appears to be taken from a security camera inside the dealership. It was posted on YouTube and then made private, according to Boston.com. LiveLeak then reposted the video.
It went viral Wednesday, appearing on Reddit, the Daily Mail, and Jezebel, among other sites.
The dealership’s Yelp page was flooded with hundreds of negative reviews.
“It’s refreshing to see the deplorable, disgusting employees of this business get a taste of their own medicine,” one user wrote.
As for the delivery driver—identified as Jarrid Tansey—a GoFundMe page for him had raised over $5,000 as of Thursday afternoon.
Also on Thursday, Gary Batista, the dealership’s sales manager, released a statement apologizing for the workers’ behaviors, according to Fun107.com.
The female worker in the video was fired and the owner plans to offer a cash donation to the delivery man, Batista said.
