You're high if you really want them to get Shanahan. Elway made Shanahan, he hasn't don't shit in the 15 years since Elway retired.

    Adam Gase - C - Broncos

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Broncos are not expected to promote OC Adam Gase to head coach, and it "would be a surprise" if they went in-house.

La Canfora continues and says "all coaches under contract are free to explore other options" after the Broncos and coach John Fox mutually parted ways Monday afternoon. It appears GM John Elway is prepared to blow this thing up, especially if he has some knowledge of Peyton Manning not wanting to come back for 2015. It's also possible Elway simply doesn't want to bring Manning back at his non-guaranteed $19 million. The Broncos still have enough to "win now."

Yeah, but I still like the guy. If Manning hangs it up, he can immediately make Brock a good QB and is inheriting a fairly talented team.

time for a new winner of the AFC West. bronco team looked relieved that they don't have to go to NE and lose again. team falling apart at the seams. manning is junk. they need to find a way to rid themselves of him immediately. lucky to win 6 games next season.

after reading the article there seemed to be a conflict in what to
do with the team going forward.. it could be Manning.
Elway knows when it's time to quit it's time to quit.

totally agree, MoneyShot...I guess the Broncos forgot how sorry they were during Shanahan's last 5 years and during Josh McDaniel's brief tenure!...PS...totally classless by the donkey fans to boo Peyton Manning like that!...

Give Manning one more season and get Shanahan as head coach and see what happens.
John Fox is 0-2 Super Bowl. Should have been fired after the SB.
Fox could join the Bears, Jets, Falcons or any other teams that needs a head coach.

John Fox will never win a super bowl. That guy is way too damn conservative and he is afraid to take any chances. You cant win if you play not to lose and that is exactly what Fox does.

Panthers fans celebrated like they won the Super Bowl the day Fox was fired. Everybody had grown tired of his lets run the ball on 3 and 15 antics and his " It is what it is" post-game routine.

John Fox is the polar opposite of winners like Pete Carol and Urban Meyer.
