The NFL Clearly Didn't Want Detroit To Go To The Next Round

    I get it... it's a business.

Detroit didn't get that one call... for pass interference.

    Not being a bitch.

    Clearly it's what they wanted.

way to state the obvious. Of course, they want Dallas instead to Detroit. The last I checked, the nfl is a business.

Had no money on this one, but Detroit backers have a reason to be pissed. That flag thrown was correct. The fact that it was picked up is an absolute joke.

I am talking about fans that wanted them to win and advance, not just to cover a spread.

It's a disgrace. All the hard work the Lions did this year. All for a GD spread.

I can't even enjoy my home team product anymore as a fan. It's a GD business!!!

That's why I don't care to go to the games. Pay for a seat?? For what??? A rig job?

Even with them picking up the flag...that should of been a penalty in itself...thats the most headscratching one imo. No matter how you look at it, there is no way you can defend that

    And Carolina yesterday.
League want to promote Cam in the worst way, there was no way Arizona was going to win with those calls.
    Of course it's a business.

Yeah no doubt it was done to help Dallas. Guys posting well Detroit still had ball at end, or like Lb so stated earlier well where has that Star been last decade if Nfl needs it so bad. Dumb asses lol! Not like league can have absolute control on outcomes but certainly can influence it at times. And Dallas has sucked past decade and were not that relevant. Now that they are there is no doubt which side league was gonna bend for here ov a Detroit brand that has almost zero value for business.

How was it not pass interference? Had his back turned entirely time, contact with receiver and never turned head to make a play on ball. Used to call it face guarding but rules, names, or interpretations change every 5 min these days. That is grounds for a flag every time no exceptions. When the ref in the booth and announcers all agree on original call you know something smells. Guess I could understand a bit if flag was never thrown. But picking one up way after fact and letting Dez get away with his act?? Come on man

not looking at the football; CLEARLY...PASS INTERFERENCE- I wanted Cowboys to win, but Lions got screwed and it could be political.

remember the superbowl handed to the steelers vs the seahawks?

    http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-...se-of-bad-refs

Leavy eventually admitted he made the wrong call, but he waited four years before he let the truth come out, "It was a tough thing for me. I kicked two calls in the fourth quarter and I impacted the game and as an official, you never want to do that," Leavy said in August 2010, via the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. "It left me with a lot of sleepless nights. I think about it constantly. I'll go to my grave wishing that I'd been better. I know that I did my best at that time, but it wasn't good enough."

    Tonight was another example.

Maybe they picked it up because he was pulling on the linebackers face mask.

Had Det connected on a bomb for a TD there would have been a flag for offensive holding.

    Right call.
Says every person who is on the right end of that call. If it was that exact same play with some Cowboys player covering Bryant and they called PI - you'd be screaming bloody murder.

It was P.I. pretty much to the letter of what P.I. is when a player is not playing the ball and makes contact with a receiver, but honestly the biggest problem out of it was the fact that they threw a flag on it and then after announcing it as P.I., picked it up. If they just didn't make the call at all, it would have been a lot better. Refs in that game in general were horse shit on both sides, but that was obviously a huge call at a huge time which sucks for the game as a whole because we will never know if it mattered or not.

That was Dez just letting the referees know it was time to cash in that favor to Jerry Jones.

Yes I remember that game. Everything went Pittsburgh's way. Such an odd line too. Pittsburgh -3? I can't believe the world was on Seattle??? But apparently they were.

In the end Lions lucky to have ball again after guy picks ball up and fumble, more than likely Boys get a fg there and win by 7. Boys cover then.
