Does anybody really think the Cavs don't at least win the east

They still have the best player in the history of the game in his prime.

Kevin Love has been a top 4 player the last 3 years by basically every metric.

They'll sleepwalk through the 1st round, than beat Toronto and the Bulls in 6 and everyone will forget that the media thought LBJ was going to leave, that they thought Kevin Love was just a stat whore, etc.

Lebron is not in his prime anymore and Love lost too much weight and plays zero defense.

Sleepwalk through the 1st round is right, a 1st round exit that is.

Without Varejao, this team is toast.

    Raptors, Bulls, Wizards, Hawks.

Two of these teams will be in the ECF...my guess:

    Raptors vs. Bulls.

Not this year for the Cavs. I'm going with Washington this year. Paul Pierce has made the difference with that team this year.

I didn't think they'd do chit before the season began. A little tired of hearing about them from the media. If you expected more, you're a fool.

Couple things....First of all it is IMPOSSIBLE to be the best player in the history of the game @ the age of 29/30. Just not possible. Zero % chance that a 29/30 yr old has had enough time to accomplish the amount that needs to be accomplished to be considered the best in history. That could be said about pretty much every major professional sport. Maybe a RB in football would have had enough time to meet the accomplishment requirements but that's about it.
Second of all thinking that a team that plays such poor overall team defense as Cleveland does is going to sleepwalk through any round of the playoffs is laughable. This team is one of the worst defensive teams in the league & has literally zero interior presence. Until both of these issues are corrected each round of the playoffs will be a dogfight for them.
And third of all if they dont get it together & improve their seeding there will be no cakewalks. It's gonna take a top 3 seed in the east for a cakewalk 1st round matchUP. Right now they are the 5 seed which would put them in a 1st round matchUP with 4 seed Chi with the winner playing the 1 seed & the winner of that matchUP playing the 2-3 seed winner. The 4-5 seed gets no cakewalks instead they get the toughest path to the Finals.
If the season ended today they would have to beat #4 seed Chi in round 1, #1 seed Tor in round 2 & #2 seed Wash in the conference Finals. Those are arguably the 3 toughest teams in the east right now & that would be the absolute most difficult path possible.

Bulls obvious favorites in the East. They haven't peaked.

Too many people expect results right outta the gate. Anything short of like a 30-10 start halfway thru would be a failure in some eyes which is beyond asinine and stupid. Knew Bron had a ton of miles on tires but heard yesterday he's already racked up more than MJ his whole stint with Bulls which is crazy. Gotta think league is still ran same as when Stern is in power with the new commish being his understudy. Which means team with face of the league has a far better chance than the field. Lots of talent on that squad it will click. People freaking out in Dec crack me up acting like they are 10 below .500 or something.

Bulls got found wanting last night. Interesting to me that both times Brooklyn have been an East contending team, which i say quite sparingly, is when they clamp down on opposing PGs, plain and simple. They did it against Bulls last night and they did it with Hornets a couple weeks ago. In saying that...

Wizards and Hawks are going to be hard to knock off when the crunch comes. Very much see the East take the title this year as well.

Wizards, Bulls, or Hawks all have a better shot of taking the east.

Lebron told you they would stink before he arrived...LOL...folks thought he was patronizing the public...but Lebron is no fool....they stunk when he left there...they stunk during his time in Miami..and they stink now...he knew it...and now the world knows it....the competition has to come back to their level if they are going to have a chance to compete.

The problem is, the EAST has improved 1000 percent...the Wizards, Bulls are much better this year...Raptors gave Portland the business last night and almost walked away with a W.....The West is not that much better than the top four teams in the EAST....and the Cavs are not even in the same class as those top 4 teams right now....They will have to change their defensive identity in a hurry if they are to contend...that cannot happen this year...but perhaps next year....they will have a shot...with some personnel changes...
