Team was 2-14 last year. Texans have not had a true starting quarterback all season. At least 2 games have been determined after plays Watt made. The interceptions are often due to the pressure he puts on, and the Texans are now near the top in takeaways after being at the bottom last year. Rodgers has regressed some the last couple of weeks, while the Houston D has limited playoff quarterbacks like Luck , and Flacco. This improvement on the defense is without the help of that 1st pick savior, Clowney. He was supposed to supply the help JJ needed, and we can't even get him on the field. Look, I know a quarterback is probably going to get the award, but every now, and then, you see a special season from a player on the other side of the ball. Watt is having one of those seasons, and if Houston makes the playoffs, it should be acknowledged.
