    Schools fire coaches and try to shoot for the moon and it rarely ever works. Seems like a good guy and a good coach...hopefully it doesn't work out for them

    He did turn around a very bad CSU team and has good training from being Alabama OC.

    Florida wasn't Utah or Duke, either, but Meyer and Spurrier turned out fine. Florida has a good track record of picking coaches who have turned around programs. I think McElwain is an excellent hire.
